VR has skyrocketed in the last few years. There were many brands that popped up in the industry, but most people use the Oculus, and the latest model now, Quest 2. However, as much as it is exciting to get your headset and start setting it up, it can be frustrating if you weren’t allowed to do so. Sometimes, there is an issue, where people can’t finish Quest 2 setup on the oculus app on either Android and iOS.

Fix Can’t Finish Quest 2 Setup Using Oculus App

At the moment, there isn’t much information on why this issue occurs, but it tends to happen quite frequently. It does cause a lot of frustraition, since if the headset is not setup or properly connected, the Quest 2 features and capabilities are limited.

For example, the settings for your Quest 2 are unavailable. Plus, using your headset might not be a possibility at all.

An easy way to fix if you can’t finish Quest 2 setup using the Oculus app, is to simply reinstall the app. Depending on which device you’re setting up your Quest 2, go to applications and delete Oculus.

Then, simply go to the respective app store and download it again. Try it and see whether that has fixed the issue for you. If it hasn’t, if you’re on Android, try the following:

  1. Go to Settings, and then to Apps.
  2. Navigate to Installed Applications.
  3. Click the Oculus application in the list.
  4. Go to Storage, and then click ‘Clear App Cache’.
  5. Launch the application and finish setup.

However, if you’re trying to setup your Quest 2 on an iOS device, try the following:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Scroll until you find Oculus.
  3. Click on the Oculus app.
  4. Hit ‘Clear Cache’.

Again, most of the time, a simple reinstall can fix the issue. It is yet unknown whether this is an underlying issue with the app itself, but there is a good chance that it is.

Nevertheless, it doesn’t seem like a major issue that isn’t easily fixable.
