Loot Hard, Loot Quick!
The game mode of the Fortnite Battle Royale is very quick, and if you really want to survive the first few stages of the game, you will need to put on running shoes and loot as fast as you can. To break it down, the simplest and fastest way to start your quest is to jump out of the bus as soon as you get the chance, skydive straight with all the speed that you can gather and get yourself down on the first spot of buildings.
The first thing you should ensure is that you always have a weapon handy, and then you will need to find a shield or healing stuff in case things get rough. And make sure that you do not skip the early stages because any weapon that you can pick up is better than going empty.
For example, picking up a pistol will kill faster than the pickaxe that will really take time before you can do any significant damage. Also, everybody wants the colored weapons but don’t waste your time on that; you may not get the chance to actually hold on at the early stages.
Think About Doing a ‘Long Drop.’
Fortnite Battle Royale has a very small map because there are more than 100 players on it now and then. Although the latest update created more space to loot in, but these areas are still the hotspots that you should not really venture into at first.
Although you will get the better stuff but you will also get more players and that will increase your chances of getting eliminated quickly especially if they are positioned under the path of the Battle Bus.
With your glider, you can reach almost anywhere you want to go on the map; you can also check the other side of the island by using you glider to float down before dropping to loot. If you will like to know how to fight, then you have to get involved in fights although it can be discouraging because you will end up being beaten several times when you are just starting that game but that’s how to learn combat.
Always Land On a Roof
When you are ready to loot, ensure that you always start from the roof of the building. There are some buildings that you will meet weapons on the roof and if you land house, most times you will find chests hidden under the tiles. So always land on the roof and use your pickaxe when necessary.
You can then move to the next level and loot until you reach the ground floor. Anytime you loot future buildings, you are still allowed to get to the roof by making a ramp and then break your way down again. When you are close to a chest, it will be audible, so always listen. You will need a lot of the chest and most of them are in the attic.
Always. Continue. Moving
It’s possible that camping works in PlayersUnknown Battle Ground but that’s not the case in Fortnite Battle Royale. If you decide to stand for too long, that’s it. You are dead!
Always be on the move, whether you are reloading, healing or you are in a fight with someone. Making small movements when you are healing will make it difficult for Snipers to hit you. Making jumps while you are in gun battle will ensure that you survive more. You are more difficult to get shot when moving than when you are standing.
Always watch your environment including what is above you because the game is all about awareness, sometimes you can get attacked from above so always be watchful! The game is also about surprises and sometimes you won’t know what next to do, you also don’t get to look while running unlike in PUBG.
Build to Win
A building is an essential and unique part of Fortnite Battle Royale, and to be able to boss the game, you will need to understand how it works. You will first need to collect materials by using your default weapon which is the pickaxe on wood, stone, and metal. Always go for the bigger trees or pallets of wood that you can easily find the buildings in Tilted Towers. You can also look for bigger vehicles in case of metal to get more yields.
Not only can a building be of great help in reaching new heights and the places that are very difficult to get to, but it’s also to try to get the edge. Because as soon as you get to the remaining players in the game, the buildings will start to fly up and you should do likewise.
You will always have the aerial advantage if you are attacking someone on the ground and you really don’t want to be the one on the ground. When you are getting to the end of the game, the players will be equipped with the lethal weapons available including snipers and it will be reasonable to have another line of defense to stay alive.
If you will like to practice how to fly up a building, drop to an area with little action so that you can pick up stuff and learn your building skills without getting shot.
Manage Your Inventory
You will be given just five spaces to fill with your weapons, and healing items (that you will definitely need) like medical kits, bandages, shield potions, the Chug Jug and Slurp Juice. To ensure that everything is balanced when you are looting because you can’t predict where the next shot is coming from.
After collecting the first few shield potions, drink up to clear the inventory space, so that you will be able to pick up another one to consume when things start going south. Always make sure that you have medkits, bandages are secondary and the most important one is the Chug Jug because it will replenish your health and your shield at the same time.
Always move with some weapons too, a tactical shotgun will always come in handy for close combats and an assault rifle is the one you should always have, and in situations where you need a long range weapon, try to pick an assault rifle with a scope or a sniper will also do the job!
Time Your Circle Runs
Fortnite Battle Royale map is not that big but you can still get caught when the storm circle starts shrinking. The map is divided by a grid system, and you will need up to 45 seconds to run down a grid before the crow flies.
Once you are in the middle of the storm, it will start affecting your health and shields won’t protect you from the storm. Once you see the first drop, you will need to quickly calculate how much time you will need to make it.
You will be provided with two timers; one will be counting down the time that you have until the storm circle starts while the second will be telling you how much time you have until the storm completely shrunk. You will need these two timers to ensure that you do not get caught up.
Play with Some Friends
There is no fun in going solo, and it’s also brutal. You against 99 guys is actually tough, so if you have some of your friends, you can use the duo or squad mode. It will also improve your skills.
The exciting part about these modes is that you don’t get killed instantly, once you’ve been shot, your friends will get a chance to revive you. And you can always use more guns and eyes to deal with stuff that you are not able to see.
Another option is that if you do not have any of your friends around, you can choose the auto-fill option. This option will pair you with three other guys that you do not know and it also helps in staying alive.
