We have adaptations for Halo and Fallout incoming, but probably one of the biggest titles fans are waiting for is The Last of Us coming to HBO. We do not have a trailer yet, but some set photos have revealed a faction we will be meeting in the series—and it looks like an armored vehicle that Joel had to go up against in the first game.

We do not know which faction this is yet, but we know that one major faction will be the Fireflies. Other factions included in the game are FEDRA, the Seraphites, the Washington Liberation Front (WLF), and the Rattlers.
While the game does have the infected as the significant reason for the decay of society, the human factions prove to be just as dangerous, with each one having their way of survival, whether it be hunting outsiders or religiously brainwashing their members.
We know that the HBO series will be taking some liberties regarding the story, but hopefully, the main core of the series—Joel and Ellie’s relationship—will remain intact. Hopefully, they also plant seeds for Abby’s story, which takes center stage in the sequel.
No release date has been announced for the upcoming series, but hopefully, we will get our first look before the year ends. In the meantime, you can always get into the original games to better get acquainted with the story and world.
