Learn how to complete the Surreal Estate mission in GTA 5!
Josh Bernstein is a real estate agent who owns a real estate company in Los Santos. Unfortunately, his former partner caused his company’s license to be revoked, sending the company into a deep financial struggle.
Josh and Trevor met in a chance encounter while checking out some houses in Rockford Hills. Since their first meeting, Josh has asked Trevor to do some dirty work for him in exchange for small rewards.
Surreal Estate is the third mission between Trevor and Josh Bernstein in GTA 5. We have outlined everything you need to know about Surreal Estate and how you can get a Gold Medal for completing the mission in GTA 5.
Surreal Estate Synopsis
After successfully locating, chasing, and threatening Lenny Avery, Trevor heads back to the Billingsgate Motel to meet with Josh Bernstein.
To thank Trevor for his job well done, Josh Bernstein rewards him with a gift waiting in one of the hotel rooms.
After Trevor collects his reward, Josh Bernstein gives Trevor another task – burn down Josh Bernstein’s house. Josh tells Trevor that doing so will allow him to collect a big payout from his insurance company.
Without asking too many questions, Trevor immediately heads to Josh Bernstein’s old house and douses the area with gas, starting from the pool area to the main gate of Josh Bernstein’s house.
Trevor lights up the fuel with the area covered in gasoline, causing the gas trail to become consumed in flames.
Eventually, the gas trail travels to the grill at the back of the house, causing a big explosion that sends Josh Bernstein’s house ablaze.
To avoid the police, Trevor immediately drives away from the area as quickly as he can, ending the mission.
Surreal Estate Gold Medal Objectives
- Out of the Frying Pan: Complete without alerting the cops.
- Pyromaniac: Pour the gasoline trail perfectly in one go.
All Gold Medal objectives for this mission can be completed through multiple replays. You can return another time and replay the mission to get the rest of the Gold Medal objectives.
Surreal Estate Mission Guide
Use Josh’s car and head to his West Eclipse Boulevard, Rockford Hills house.
Park the car in front of the main gate. You can get inside by climbing up the short wall.
Walk towards the back of the house.
Switch to your Jerry Can. The start point is the area just in front of the grill.
Follow the map markers diligently. You must pour the gasoline in one go to complete the Pyromaniac Gold Medal objective.
After all the yellow markers are covered in gasoline, run towards the main gate and set the trail on fire by shooting at it with your gun.
Leave the area immediately to complete the Out of the Frying Pan Gold Medal objective.
You can use the same wall to leave the area. Drive as quickly as you can so you do not attract the cops.
Strategic Arson
Trevor is no stranger to sketchy and borderline illegal underdealings, such as the tasks given to him by Josh Bernstein, as long as he gets a worthwhile reward in the process.
Surreal Estate is a very easy Strangers and & Freaks mission you can complete in less than five minutes.
Skip all the cutscenes to save time, and follow the gasoline trail perfectly the first time to get the Pyromaniac Gold Medal Objective.
Run away from the area once you set the house on fire so you do not alert the cops. Doing so will also complete the Out of the Frying Pan Gold Medal Objective.
