Improve Guy’s music skills by finding all the notes with our Rustler guide
If you’re going for the platinum trophy in the GTA-inspired Rustler, you’re going to need to hunt down a few collectables.
There are three types of collectables in Rustler: Weapons, Horseshoes, and Musical Notes. In this Rustler guide, we’re going to be looking at the Musical Note locations in Rustler. If you need the Rustler Horseshoe locations, you can find them in our other Rustler guide.
Before you go on below to find the musical note locations, you should be aware that you need to complete some of the story before you can collect them all.
On the first island in the game (there are only two islands) there are three musical notes to collect. The other six are on the second island which cannot be accessed until you hit a certain point in the story where Guy and Buddy have the documents needed to cross the bridge. You can not cross the bridge without hitting this story beat first.
It’s also worth noting that the locations of the musical notes in our Rustler guide have been numbered in the most efficient order to collect them. So, my recommendation is that you don’t collect any until you’ve unlocked the second island, then you can do them all in one 10-minute session.

All Musical Note Locations in Rustler
Musical Note #1
The first note is in the first city in the game between buildings to the left of the church.
Musical Note #2
The second musical note is in a small hollow and quite easy to find.
Musical Note #3
Number 3 is next to a big rock on the shoreline of the first island.
Musical Note #4
The fourth musical note is on the second island and it’s basically opposite where number 3 was.
Musical Note #5
Go up to the norther part of the map and follow the beach until you come across the fifth musical note.
Musical Note #6
The sixth note is outside the second city in a filed to the north.
Musical Note #7
Lucky number seven sits within the courtyard of some buildings. Find the opening on the side and you’ll be one note closer to completion.
Musical Note #8
The eighth note is inside the second city but in the second part of it. Go down south and keep to the right and you’ll get your penultimate note.
Musical Note #9
The ninth and final musical note is at the laundry services called… The Fellowship of the Rinse. Quite a fitting name, actually, after that trek around the world.
