Like with the first Death Stranding game, Kojima Productions has chosen to be purposefully vague in the teaser for Death Stranding 2, and we have no idea what to expect despite everything we’ve seen.
In a recent episode of Brain Structure (via Gaming Bolt), Kojima teases the new characters played by Elle Fanning and Shioli Kutsuna, and says that Lea Seydoux’s Fragile will have an ‘important’ role in the sequel. Kojima says:
“I can’t say much right now, but Fragile will be important. As for what roles Elle and Shioli will play, that’s something people should look forward to. They’ll be blown away by the crazy things we’ve done! I can’t reveal anyting yet, but I will in the future. It’s something nobody has ever seen before.”
In the game, Fragile is the owner of Fragile Express, another courier company; she befriends Sam Bridges (Norman Reedus) and helps him on his mission to deliver packages for humanity. We don’ know what kind of role Fragile will have for the sequel, but hopefully she won’t just be regulated as a side character.
I guess the actress I’m really excited to see in the game is Elle Fanning. We don’t know who she’s playing yet, but after becoming such a huge fan of her from her series The Great, I can’t wait to see what kind of collaboration she’ll have with someone like Kojima.
Death Stranding 2 is yet to receive a release date, but you can catch the original game now available for PC and PlayStation 4|5.
