Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in the old times in the Pokemon world at a time when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the land of the Hisui region, known as the Sinnoh region in modern times, you’ll join the Galaxy Expedition Team (or just Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every species of Pokémon from the Hisui region to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.
The Galaxy Team will task the player to do missions in the game. Additionally, various people will also ask for help from the player in the form of requests. One of these requests is Request 107, titled the ‘Irida’s Wish.’ This guide will teach you how to complete the ‘Irida’s Wish’ request.
Irida’s Wish
To unlock this request, the player must first complete the “Massive Mass Outbreak in the Icelands’ request (request 101) and the ‘Daybreak’ request (request 102), where the player must investigate the massive mass outbreaks in the Alabaster Icelands and complete the Daybreak DLC.
After doing the requirements mentioned above, you can now start this request! To do that, head on to the Diamond Settlement in the Crimson Mirelands, and there you will find Irida of the Pearl Clan. Talk to Irida, and she will say that she felt the player’s presence when she was playing the flute earlier when she was playing for the Diamond Clan so they could hear the melodies that her clan holds dear. Then, she will tell the player that she has learned more about the Lustrous Globe, which is that it seems to hold the power to transform Palkia into its otherworldly form. After that, Irida will tell the player that she wants to battle Palkia to prove to herself that their belief was real when the Pearl Clan worshiped Palkia. She will then ask the player to use the Lustrous Globe to transform Palkia into its otherworldly form and bring it alone to battle Irida. Then, the “Irida’s Wish” Request started just like that!
To complete this request, the player must only use Palkia in its Origin Form to defeat Irida and her Pokemon!
To do that, the player must first head back to any of the Base Camps in the Crimson Mirelands, talk to the Galaxy Member near the crafting workbench and the tent, select the “I want to see my Pokemon” on the prompt, and move Palkia to the player’s party and remove all the other Pokemon so that Palkia will be the only Pokemon in the player’s party. Then, press the B button to return to the game. After that, press the up directional button and go to the player’s Satchel, press the R button to switch to the Key Items tab, select the Lustrous Globe, select ‘Use’ on the prompt, then select Palkia to use the Lustrous Globe on Palkia. After that, the screen will turn white, and Palkia will transform into its Origin Form!
Before heading back to Irida, ensure that the player has a few Hyper Potions or Full Restores on hand as, again, the player would have to battle Irida and her Pokemon with only Palkia in the party. This will not be a hard battle, but it would be best to be ready for anything.
Next, head back to Irida, still in the Diamond Settlement, and talk to her. Irida will tell the player that she wants to know Palkia’s power, which is the power that brought space itself into being firsthand. After confirming the prompt, Irida will say that to step forward into the world takes bravery and determination. Then, the battle against Irida will commence!
Irida will use Glaceon, Espeon, and Flareon all simultaneously. With that in mind, it is important to note the following:
Irida’s Glaceon is a Level 65 Ice type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Fighting type, Fire Type, Rock type, and Steel-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Ice-Type moves (not very effective).
Irida’s Espeon is a Level 34 Psychic-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Bug-type, Dark type, and Ghost-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Fighting type and Psychic-type moves (not very effective).
Irida’s Flareon is a Level 34 Fire-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Ground-type, Rock-type, and Water-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Bug-type, Fairy-type, Fire-type, Grass type, Ice type, and Steel-type moves (not very effective).
It is recommended that the player first takedown Irida’s Glaceon as it is the strongest Pokemon in his party. Fortunately, Palkia can learn Flamethrower, which is super effective against Ice type Pokemon like Glaceon. After that, Irida’s Espeon and Flareon will be easy to defeat because of their low level compared to Palkia.
After defeating Irida and all her Pokemon, Irida will say that Palkia’s power is as unfathomably vast as space itself and that she is in awe of it. After that, a few members of the Diamond Clan will appear, and one of them will say that the battle was incredible and that it must have been the Pearl Clan’s almighty Sinnoh. Then, another one of them will say that it looks like Pearl Clan’s leader can hold her own in battle. Then, Irida is surprised that the people of the Diamond Clan praised Palkia. She will then say that she wants to take this spirit of respecting and cherishing one another and spread it throughout the Hisui region, and she will do it through battling. After that, Irida will say that she has decided on behalf of the Pearl Clan to bring their battles to Jubilife Village’s Training Grounds to let these ideas flourish. The player can now battle against the members of the Pearl Clan in the Path of Tenacity Challenge in the Training Grounds in Jubilife Village!
Finally, the “Irida’s Wish” request is completed, and the player will be rewarded with one Exp. Candy XL and one Ice Stone for your efforts.
Now that you have completed the ‘Irida’s Wish’ Request, you can now try to complete other requests, complete missions, or complete Arceus’ task for you, which is to catch ‘em all!
