Pokemon Legends: Arceus takes place during the olden times in the Pokemon world when finding harmony between people and Pokemon was rare. Set in the land of the Hisui region, which will be known as the Sinnoh region in modern times, you join the Galaxy Expedition Team (or Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every species of Pokémon from the Hisui region to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.
In the game, the Galaxy Team assigns players some missions. Additionally, various people will also ask for help from the player requests. One of these requests is Request 28, titled ‘Measuring Your Compatibility.’ In this guide, you’ll learn how to complete the ‘Measuring Your Compatibility’ request.
Measuring Your Compatibility
To unlock this request, the player must first receive the “Arezu’s Predicament” mission (the eighth mission in the game), where the player must quell the Lady of the Ridge Liligant’s frenzy.
After that, you can now start this request. The player can do that by heading to the Pastures on the east side of Jubilife Village, and there you will find a man dressed in blue and wearing glasses, looking at the Pokemon in the Pastures named Belamy. Talk to him, and he will tell you that you remind him of his grandmother as she was very friendly with her Pokemon, just as you seem to be. Then, he will tell you that he is interested to see how friendly you are with the Pokemon you carry with you; then, just like that, the request has been started!
To complete this request, all the player has to do is show Belamy a Pokemon with which you have a high enough bond/friendship level. You can increase your bond/friendship level with your Pokemon by using them to gather resources from all over the Hisui region, battling with other Pokemon, and leveling them up. The Pokemon that is ideal for showing Belamy is most likely your starter Pokemon as it would be the Pokemon you used more often and the longest.
Once you think you have a high enough bond/friendship level with your Pokemon, go back to Jubilife Village and head to the Pastures to talk to Belamy. Select the Pokemon you think you have a high enough bond/friendship level with on the prompt. Then, Belamy will check your bond/friendship level, and if it is high enough, he will tell the player that you are exactly like his grandmother, who is the type who could understand the minds and hearts of Pokemon. As he can sense how compatible trainers and Pokemon are, you can keep coming back to Belamy to check your bond/friendship level with your Pokemon. Then, the player will receive one Rare Candy as a reward for your efforts.
Now that you have completed the ‘Measuring Your Compatibility’ request, you can now try to complete other requests, complete missions, or complete Arceus’ task for you, which is to catch ’em all!
