The Crucible in Destiny 2 can be harsh, especially if you run into a bunch of players using Shotguns. Do you know what can really put those apes in their place, though? A well-timed shot from a Fusion Rifle. And there may be no better Fusion Rifle in the game right now than Bastion. Sure, this is an Exotic. Yes, it does take Energy Ammo, so you won’t be able to sprint from Point A to Point B firing it endlessly. But it hits HARD with a three-shot burst, and if even one of those shots connects with the head, your opponent will be sleeping with the fishes. Now all that buildup probably has you wondering how to get Bastion in Destiny 2. I don’t blame you.

How to get Bastion in Destiny 2

Below, you’ll find a handy guide for where Bastion is currently available in the game. It’s certainly not located where it used to be, and that’s a real shame. But if you’re dying to get your hands on this beast of a Fusion, follow the steps and you’ll be wreaking Crucible havoc in no time.

Bastion once had a really neat Quest tied to it

If you come here often, you’ve likely heard me lament the loss of many of Destiny 2‘s Raids, Missions, and Quests. So much was put into storage courtesy of the Destiny Content Vault, and one such Quest was the one for Bastion, which involved traveling backward through Corridors of Time to get the gun (and save Saint-14 from being killed in the process).

Alas, because this Quest was a part of seasonal content, it’s no longer around. Fortunately, you can still pick up Bastion from a place you should be very familiar with by now.

Bastion is available for purchase in the Tower

Monument to Lost Lights

If you don’t know the Monument to Lost Lights by now, you should stop by for a visit. This kiosk houses many weapons from past seasons, vaulted Raids, long-gone Exotic Quests, and expired secret Missions. If there’s something you don’t have because the piece of content it came from is gone, you can probably find that thing in the Monument.

Bastion is available here, if you have the correct currencies and materials sitting in your inventory. Here’s what you’ll need:

Once you have all that, open the Monument and move into the section labeled, “Shadowkeep Exotics.” From here, you’ll find Bastion in the third slot over from the left. Press the correct button to make the purchase, and ta-da: you are the proud new owner of (what I believe is) the best Fusion Rifle in Destiny 2.

And that’s how to get Bastion in Destiny 2

Truth be told, I’m not much of a Bastion fan when it comes to PvE activities. But I implore you to give this a few goes in the Crucible, especially if you are sick and tired of getting popped by Shotgun warriors. This will slow them down real quick, and they’ll be hesitant to come charging at you again.
