If you’re a Destiny 2 player in the market for a new Fusion Rifle, you can’t go wrong chasing after Null Composure, the latest ritual weapon added in Season of the Splicer. One thing you should know about this particular Fusion, though, is that it won’t just drop out in the world. It’s not in the larger loot pool. Instead, you’ll need to complete a Quest to unlock it (and then a few other Quests to unlock all of the Ornaments available for it. With that, here’s how to get Null Composure in Destiny 2.

How to get Null Composure in Destiny 2

A Sacred Fusion

The Quest you’ll need to pick up is called “A Sacred Fusion,” and the place you’ll get it is from our good friend the Gunsmith. This Quest isn’t elaborate by any means — it’s a two-step affair. The first step is completing the various requirements laid out. The second is going to pick the gun up from the Gunsmith.

The things you’ll need to do look like this:

  • Earn points by defeating targets in playlist activities
  • Complete activities (Crucible, Strikes, Gambit, etc.)

You can earn bonus progress by doing the following things:

  • Defeating targets with Fusion Rifles, disintegrations, or Solar damage
  • Having a Stasis subclass equipped while you’re doing the killing

Sadly, this is again one of those Quests where Bungie throws percentages up and isn’t very transparent about how much you get for what, or how much of everything you ultimately need in the end. Imagine if someone said, “Drive your car for a million dollars” and then just put a 0% next to a checkbox. Well — how far are you supposed to drive? Is it 20 miles? Is it 100,000? And do you get one percentage point per mile? Or do you get five points per mile in a Ford, versus 10 points in a Chevy? Bungie, please stop doing this.

Here’s what we know: how to get Null Composure in Destiny 2 quickly, as pointed out by many online, is to equip your Stasis subclass, throw on a Fusion Rifle, and play Gambit. That seems to move both bars pretty quickly.

Finishing up

Once you’ve met the requirements “A Sacred Fusion,” you’ll be moved to the next step. All you have to do is return to the Gunsmith and pick up your shiny new Fusion Rifle.

Also, keep in mind that this is a Seasonal Ritual weapon, which means there are additional Ornaments (skins) you can earn from it by visiting the various playlist activity vendors. Zavala has one for Vanguard Strikes. Shaxx has one for Crucible. And The Drifter has one for Gambit. Those come with their own requirements, which are as follows:

Vanguard

  • Defeat combatants with Fusion Rifles and Solar damage
  • Complete 3 Nightfall Strikes

Crucible

  • Defeat Guardians in Crucible
  • Earn 3 Valor Ranks

Gambit

  • Defeat targets in Gambit with Fusion Rifles, rapidly defeat them with Fusion Rifles, and defeat them with Solar weapons
  • Play 7 Gambit matches

And that’s how to get Null Composure in Destiny 2

Now that you know all the necessary steps, jump into the game, pick up that Quest, and get to work. Before you know it, Null Composure will be all yours.
