It’s been a big year for J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World. After the release of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, fans are now gearing up for Avalanche Software’s AAA title, Hogwarts Legacy. The game will be available for the new-gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and we have a new trailer teasing the new-gen level of immersion that HL promises.

The magical minds at Avalanche Software are making Hogwarts Legacy comes to life on PS5. Hear every detailed sound, play in stunning 4K HDR resolution, experience faster load times, and feel the magic at your fingertips in only the way PS5 can make possible.
Like with every new-gen game, there is an emphasis when it comes to the haptic feedback, and it should make itself apparent when your character if flying in the air or casting spells on creatures and on the environment. We should also expect a full 4K experience when it comes to this new take on the magical world, and dynamic lighting on your controller depending on which Hogwarts House you land yourself in.
Though I would have pretty much loved to get a look into the future of the characters in Harry Potter, I guess this era would be unto explore as well. While not completely faithful to the movies, Legacy does draw inspiration from the books as well, and we should expect a marrying of the two mediums when it comes to the game.
Hogwarts Legacy comes to PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC sometime around the holiday season.
