I have said that MultiVersus feels like an afterthought to Space Jam: A New Legacy, and just in, the game has officially announced the playable character of LeBron James.
Check out the reveal:
While some characters come in tag teams, it seems that LeBron will be able to combine attacks with his teammates, and we can see that when he passes his ball to Bugs Bunny. Like every other character in the game, LeBron is also able to change costumes.
I guess LeBron is the only IRL character to become playable in the game so far, but I’m sure that there will be some OG Space Jam fans that might want Michael Jordan to join in on the fun. Who knows, maybe they could add him to the game if they decide to put him in the next Space Jam film.
In MultiVersus, the Multiverse is at your fingertips as you battle it out in intense 2v2 matches. Up against Batman & Shaggy? Try using Bugs Bunny & Arya Stark! This platform fighter lets you play out your fantasy matchups in a fun co-op or head-to-head fight for supremacy.
MultiVersus is an all-new free-to-play, platform fighter videogame. With an ever-expanding cast of iconic characters and legendary universes, MultiVersus will feature multiple online modes, including a team-based 2 vs. 2 format, 1 vs. 1 matches and 4-player free-for-all, along with upcoming content-filled seasons.
LeBron becomes playable in MultiVersus on July 26. MultiVersus is playable for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 4|5.
