One of the Shrines in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the Kema Zoos Shrine or the A Delayed Puzzle. This Shrine requires Link to bring the power source in the shape of a metal sphere to one of the switches that open the gate to the altar and the monk. This shrine is very easy to complete. However, Link must complete The Silent Swordswomen Shrine Quest before accessing the Kema Zoos Shrine. This guide will teach you how to complete The Silent Swordswomen Shrine Quest, complete the Kema Zoos Shrine, obtain the chest inside, and claim the Spirit Orb.

Link will be rewarded with Spirit Orbs for completing Shrines. The Spirit Orbs obtained can be exchanged for more Heart Containers or Stamina Vessels. As there are 120 Shrines all over Hyrule, Link can get 120 Spirit Orbs. You can decide whether you want Link to have more Hearts or Stamina.

Link will have a tough time trying to access the shrine because of a sandstorm. Still, the Kema Zoos Shrine is located west of the Gerudo Tower and the Karusa Valley in the northwestern-most part of the Gerudo Desert (the shrine is north of the West Barrens and the West Gerudo Ruins or south of the Rutimala Hill, which is southwest of the Gerudo Highlands). The Kema Zoos Shrine is one of 12 shrines in the Wasteland Tower region.

The Silent Swordswomen

As mentioned above, Link must first complete The Silent Swordswomen Shrine Quest to access the Kema Zoos Shrine. To start this shrine quest, head to the northwestern entrance of Gerudo Town, and there you will find a Gerudo woman guarding the entrance named Laine. Talk to her, and she will tell Link that they should do something about the monsters and sandstorms, as without them, they would be able to find all that treasure hidden in the desert.

After asking her about the treasure from the prompt, she will tell Link that there are statues of swordswomen scattered across the Gerudo Desert, which she says are remnants of ages long past that are pointing to the hiding place of an ancient treasure, but she thinks it is just superstition. She will then say that even if it was true, there are monsters in the sandstorm, which would make the journey risky. Then, after that, The Silent Swordswomen Shrine Quest started!

To complete this shrine, Link must follow where the statues of swordswomen are pointing and reach the Kema Zoos Shrine.

There are a few swordswomen statues scattered in the northwestern part of the Gerudo Desert but start with the first swordswoman statue that Laine pointed out, which is just west of where Laine is located. Then, follow the direction of where the swordswoman statue’s sword is pointing, keep heading in that direction until you reach another swordswoman statuefollow the direction of where the swordswoman statue’s sword is pointing, and keep on doing this until Link reaches the Kema Zoos Shrine!

That is easier said than done, however, as this would lead Link into a sandstorm, making traversing hard due to the lack of visibility. Not only that, but the map will also turn static and useless, so you would not know your direction.

A good tip is to look for landmarks like rock formations to help you navigate the area. This would especially be helpful if Link should encounter enemies in between swordswomen statues. It is worth noting, however, that it is not required to defeat the enemies, so you can just run from them. Do this at your own risk, though.

It is also worth mentioning that as you go along following where the swordswomen statues’ swords are pointing, the swordswomen statues will become slightly harder to find. Make sure to check behind rock formations and pillars or ruins.

As you continue following where the silent swordswomen’s swords are pointing, you will eventually reach what seems to be a large skeleton with ruins. In the middle of this structure is the Kema Zoos Shrine!

Upon entering the Kema Zoos Shrine, you will see a platform just ahead of Link with ramps on its left and right side, a platform on the left and right side of the room with platforms that are set on an angle and act as launchers passing a power source in a metal sphere back and forth, and just ahead is the closed entryway to the altar and the monk. To complete this shrine, this is what Link must do:

  1. First, let Link head up and stand on the platform near Link.
  2. Next, press the up directional button on top of the platform, select the Magnesis Rune ability, and press the L button to aim.
  3. Then, wait for the metal sphere power source to be on one of the launchers, quickly aim at the metal sphere, and press the A button to activate the Magnesis Rune ability. Get a little bit closer to the launchers if necessary.
  4. While carrying the power source using the Magnesis Rune ability, go down from the platform through either ramp and head to the northwestern part of the room.
  5. There you will find a closed entryway; inside, you will see a chest and a switch above it. Bring the power source to the switch through the opening on top. After electrifying the switch, the entryway will be opened, and the chest can now be accessed. Open the chest to obtain a Moonlight Scimitar.
  6. After that, press the L button again to aim the Magnesis Rune ability, aim at the power source, and press the A button to activate the Magnesis Rune ability again on the power source.
  7. Next, bring the power source out of the gated room through the opening on top and bring the power source to the northeastern part of the room (the opposite side of where the chest is situated).
  8. There you will find another switch just right on the floor. Set the power source right next to the switch to electrify it, which will cause the entryway to the altar to be opened.
  9. Finally, go near the altar, talk to the monk, and claim your Spirit Orb!

As mentioned above, the Kema Zoos Shrine or the A Delayed Puzzle is one of 12 shrines in the Wasteland Tower region. The other shrines are the Daqo Chisay Shrine or The Whole Picture, the Jee Noh Shrine or the On the Move, the Dako Tah Shrine or the Electric Path, the Tho Kayu Shrine or Tho Kayu’s Blessing, the Hawa Koth Shrine or The Current Solution, the Dila Maag Shrine or Dila Maag’s Blessing, the Raqa Zunzo Shrine or Raqa Zunzo’s Blessing, the Kay Noh Shrine or the Power of Electricity, the Suma Sahma Shrine or Suma Sahma’s Blessing, the Korsh O’hu Shrine or Korsh O’hu’s Blessing, and the Misae Suma Shrine or Misae Suma’s Blessing.
