CDPR may have fallen down a hole of trouble ever since they launched Cyberpunk 2077 back in 2020, but the studio has been hard at work adding improvements to the game, and the latest finally ups the features for the new-gen consoles.
Watch the launch trailer:
Take a look at the Patch 1.5/Next-Gen Update trailer captured on PlayStation 5. With the update, #Cyberpunk2077 takes advantage of the additional power of the newest generation of console hardware, allowing for ray tracing features and 4K with dynamic scaling, faster loading times, and a variety of other visual and technical improvements, as well as utilizes the DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers and haptic feedback functionalities.
When the game originally launched in 2020, it was incredibly bashed for not being able to play smoothly on old-gen consoles like the PS4 and Xbox One. Though the marketing team did a great job hyping up the game, they kind of botched it when the developers couldn’t catch up to their set release dates.
Though Cyberpunk was heavily criticized upon release, the game was still praised for its story, and there was a clear attention to detail when it came to the world of Night City and its inhabitants.
Hopefully we have some more updates down the line when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077. I mean, if GTA V can survive this long, there’s just endless potential with a world like Cyberpunk’s.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PlayStation 4|5.
