Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launches this week, and the hype for the release is definitely on. Just in, EA has dropped an ad for the game, with star Cameron Monaghan receiving Jedi training from Luke Skywalker, Mark Hamill.

Playing as a Jedi may look easy, but in Motion Capture Session 386, Mark Hamill offers actor Cameron Monaghan some advice on his role as Jedi Cal Kestis in STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor. Wise words and questionable training methods from Mark will hopefully give Cameron the edge he needs as he continues his journey from STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order™.

The video essentially has Mark Hamill play the Yoda to Monaghan’s Luke, and we have some references to Luke’s training sessions in Empire Strikes Back. I would have loved it if we got some references to The Last Jedi, but that just invites a can of worms from anyone who can’t shut up about the movie.

I guess it’s also worth noting that they did a ‘Reverse Mark Hamill’ when they cast Monaghan as Cal. Whereas Hamill played a Jedi and became Batman’s archenemy, the Joker, Monaghan was playing the Joker in Gotham when he was cast to play a Jedi in Fallen Order.
