We’ve known for a while that Rick Sanchez would be a playable character in WB’s Smash Clone MultiVersus, but his loveable idiot of a sidekick Morty is also going to be coming to this cartoon Battle Royale.

The game makes it pretty clear that this character is ‘A Morty’ meaning that there could be several different versions of him available in the game. Just like any character in MultiVersus, Morty has access to abilities that are all pretty deep-cut references to his show Rick and Morty.Besides being able to swing another Morty around for an attack, this Morty can also grow his one arm to deliver a strong punch—just like the Mad Max episode from the show.
With MultiVersus also depending on a team-work mechanic, we should expect Morty to have some great synergy with Rick when they’re paired up together. You’d think that they would actually have the two debut together in the gameplay trailer, but I guess the devs wanted to make it clear that both were individual playable characters.
