It’s been more than a year since the release of Biomutant, and despite the impressive visuals and world-building, the title didn’t manage to live up to the hype. That being said, Experiment 101 could be gearing up for some kind of revival for the new-gen.
As per Reddit user u/the_andshrew, a native PS5 version of Biomutant was uploaded to the PlayStation Network backend. Here’s the post:
We don’t have anything official from the devs, but it would make sense for the game to try and captivate a new audience with a next-gen upgrade. Despite the poor launch of Cyberpunk 2077, CDPR has managed to pick itself up from the mess, and now they’ve gotten a rejuvenated interest thanks to the native PS5 version of the game.
For now, this talk on Biomutant is just based on rumors, but it does seem likely that we could get some kind of announcement, especially with the upcoming State of Play this week. For now, I guess all we can really do is wait and see. In the meantime, you can check out the original game which still managed to have a decent launch with the previous gen.
