Stardust Source is vital for calibrating weapons and armor to increase performance. Here’s how to get it!

Once Human: How to Get Stardust Source

In Once Human, calibrating weapons and armor increases their performance level. This allows you to strengthen your favorite gear without replacing it with higher-tier but less effective options. However, to do this, you need Stardust Source.

Stardust is a precious in-game resource, and you may quickly run out of it, especially when approaching the endgame content. Here’s a guide on how to get more to ensure you have enough for weapon calibration.

How to Get Stardust Source

There are various ways to obtain Stardust Source in Once Human, including:

Activate Rift Anchors

The Rift Anchors are scattered all over the overworld and can be activated by interacting with them. Once the Anchor is activated, you’ll receive rewards, including the Stardust S, parts of the shrouded map, and nearby points of interest.

Clear Securement Silos

Clearing Securement Silos is another way to collect Stardust S. However, it requires some effort as you’ll have to fight monsters and ultimately face the boss. You can clear the dungeon solo or with friends. After you’ve eliminated the boss, you can claim Stardust Source and other rewards from the treasure chest.

Clear Production Facilities

Production Facilities are similar to Securement Silos. They’re scattered around the map (Press M on your Keyboard) and earn you exciting rewards once you complete the objective. But the difference is, while you can freely enter and clear Securement Silos, Production Facilities require an Access Card, which can be obtained as an enemy drop or loot from treasure chests.

In Securement Silos, you’re transported to a dungeon with a ‘defeat the boss’ objective. In contrast, Production Facilities offer a tower defense challenge. After using an Access Card, you must defend the area against waves of monsters within a set duration. You’ll receive the rewards, including Stardust S, once you have successfully completed the objective.

Loot Mystical Crates

Points of interest in the overworld are danger zones that offer side objectives, such as eliminating specific monsters, collecting weapons or gear loot, and, most importantly, finding Mystical Crates. These crates may contain Stardust Sources, making them worthwhile.

You can find Points of Interest near Rift Anchor points, with most Mystical Crates placed at the highest peaks.

Crafting Stardust Source

If you don’t want to engage in combat, consider crafting Stardust S. You can make it in the Electric Furnace using Startrace Ores and Portable Mixed Fuels, both of which can be found in the overworld. However, to acquire the crafting recipe, you must master Oil Processing from Memetic Specialization.

Startrace Ores are located in Polluted areas. These can easily be identified on your map (press ‘M’ on your keyboard) by brown or dark spots on the terrain. You’ll typically find them in level 20+ zones. To mine Startrace Ores effectively, you’ll need higher-tier tools like a Steel Pickaxe or Solar Drill.

Purchase from NPC

You can also purchase Stardust Source from NPC merchants in Settlements. Nisa, who you first encounter at Meyer’s Market, frequently offers Stardust Source for sale.

However, instead of using Energy Link, you can buy it with Sproutlet, which you earn by completing mini-events like Highway Pursuit and Cargo Scramble.

Claim from Battle Pass

Lastly, you can claim Stardust Source from the Battle Pass. Fortunately, this is available even in the normal Battle Pass, so there’s no need for you to pay real money for the premium unless you’re eager to invest.

You can earn Battle Pass XP by completing various in-game tasks, including participating in events and completing quests.

Conclusion

The most efficient way to collect Stardust Source for endgame content is through crafting. Once you’ve secured a stable fuel source, unlocked the oil processing specialization, and built a base near Startrace Ores with plenty of Digby Boy stationed in your securement unit, you’re set to go.
