Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ultimate Abra Guide

Instead of taking part in Pokemon Gym battles and eventually becoming a Champion in a specific region, the player in Pokemon Legends: Arceus will become part of the Galaxy Expedition Team, commonly referred to as the Galaxy Team, as a key member of the Survey Corps to learn more about the Pokemon found in the Hisui region. One of the game’s main goals for the player is to finish the Pokedex by capturing and acquiring information about each species of Pokemon in the area.

This guide will discuss everything you need to know about Abra in Pokemon Legends: Arceus!

Abra

Abra, the 58th Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Psychic-type Psi Pokemon with a segmented yellow and brown body, a face shaped like a kite, a pair of wide eyes that are usually closed, a pale yellow snout, a pair of short and pointed ears with pale yellow insides, brown extensions on its chest and shoulders that look like armor, a pair of arms with three fingers on each hand, a pair of legs with two toes on the front and one toe on the back of each foot, and a thick, long tail with a brown band marking near its tip.

According to its Pokedex entry in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Abra sleeps for 18 hours a day. However, even asleep, it can still control its psychic powers, like teleporting away whenever danger approaches.

Basic Information

Abra is a Psychic-type Pokemon, which means it has a weakness to the Bug-type, Dark-type, and Ghost-type moves (super effective) and a resistance to Fighting-type and Psychic-type moves (not very effective).

Abra’s base stats are 25 HP, 20 Attack, 15 Defense, 105 Special Attack, 55 Special Defense, and 90 Speed for a total of 310.

An abra can be evolved into a Kadabra when it reaches Level 16. A Kadabra can then be evolved into an Alakazam by trading or using a Linking Cord.

Springy Mushrooms, Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans are Abra’s preferred foods, so they are all excellent lures before catching, battling, or even feeding it food.

After defeating or taking down an Abra in the wild, the player will always receive a Spoiled Apricorn and a Hopo Berry.

Location

The player will be able to find an Abra in the following areas:

In the Obsidian Fieldlands: along Windswept Run and around Sandgem Flats.

In the Alabaster Icelands: on the eastern shores of Lake Acuity.

Abra can be found in the locations mentioned at all times of the day and in every weather condition.

Aside from that, Abra may also be found in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Obsidian Fieldlands and the Alabaster Icelands.

Research Tasks

The following are the Research Tasks in Abra’s Pokedex entry:

MultiplierResearch TaskObjectives
x2Number caught1/2/4/10/15
Number of light specimens you have caught1/2/3/5/7
Number you have caught without being spotted1/2/4/6/10
Number defeated1/2/3/4/5
x2Times you have seen it use Teleport1/3/6/12/25
Times you have scared it off with a Scatter Bang1/2/3/4/5
x2Number you have evolved1/2/3

Whenever one of a Research Task’s objectives is achieved, a Pokedex entry’s Research Level rises by one level. Whenever a Research Task objective with a multiplier of x2 is achieved, the Pokedex entry gains two Research Levels instead of one. When a Pokemon reaches Research Level 10, its Pokedex entry is complete.

To quickly complete Abra’s Pokedex entry, the player can catch two Abras without being spotted, use one in battle, and Teleport thrice. Doing these will tick the first and second objective of the “Number caught” Research Task to add four Research Levels because of its x2 multiplier; tick the first and second objectives “Number you have caught without being spotted” Research Task to raise two Research Levels, and tick the first and second objective of the “Times you have seen it use Teleport” Research Task to add the final four Research Level, thanks to its x2 multiplier, to reach Research Level 10.

Moves

Abra will have two options for learning new moves: leveling up or the Training Grounds.
