Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ultimate Glaceon Guide

Pokemon Legends: Arceus brings a new spin to the popular franchise. It is a semi-open-world action role-playing game set in the ancient Hisui region, the past version of the modern Sinnoh region.

The Galaxy Expedition Team, also known as the Galaxy Team, will allow the player to join the Survey Corps to help keep the Hisui region safe and study the Pokemon. One of the player’s primary responsibilities is to complete the Pokedex by capturing and studying every Pokemon species in the region.

This guide will discuss everything you need to know about Glaceon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus!

Glaceon

Glaceon, the 32nd Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is an Ice type of Fresh Snow Pokemon with light blue fur, a pair of teal eyes with white pupils, a small black nose, a small mouth, a crest on its head that is colored a slightly darker shade of blue of the crest with two flaps that have teal diamond markings on its tips, a pair of pointed ears with slightly darker blue insides, two teal markings on its back that are shaped similar to a rhombus, four legs with teal paws, and a long tail also tipped with a teal diamond-shaped marking. According to its Pokedex entry in the game, Glaceon can quickly lower its body temperature and freeze the atmosphere, creating diamond dusts that glitter while it flutters around.

Basic Information

Glaceon is an Ice-type Pokemon, which means it is weak to (super effective) Fighting-type, Fire-type, Rock-type, and Steel-type moves and resistant (not very effective) to Ice-type moves.

Glaceon’s base stats are 65 HP, 60 Attack, 110 Defense, 130 Special Attack, 95 Special Defense, and 65 Speed for a total of 525.

Glaceon can be evolved from an Eevee by using an Ice Stone or by being near the Ice Rock.

The Ice Rock is located in an underground cave in the Alabaster Icelands. The cave’s entrance is southwest of Avalugg’s Legacy or northwest of Bonechill Wastes (see map below). Upon finding the entrance, jump down the hole in the ground and follow the path where there are a few Bergmites.

Then, on the Y-junction, take the path on the right, and at the end of the path, there is a large ice boulder. Approach the Ice Rock and press the A button to investigate. Then, a dialogue box will appear, saying that touching it could make you freeze.

Evolve Eevee into a Glaceon near the Ice Rock by pressing the up directional button to open the player’s Satchel, select Eevee from the player’s party, then confirm on the prompt to evolve Eevee.

Eevee can also evolve into a Jolteon by using a Thunder Stone, a Vaporeon by using a Water Stone, a Flareon by using a Fire Stone, a Leafeon when near the Moss Rock or by using a Leaf Stone, a Sylveon when it reaches a High Friendship Level and while knowing a Fairy-type move, an Espeon when it reaches a High Friendship Level and evolves during the day (without knowing any Fairy-type moves), and an Umbreon when it reaches a High Friendship Level and evolves during the night (without knowing any Fairy-type moves).

To distract Glaceon before catching it or battling it, throw Springy Mushrooms, Hearty Grains, or Plump Beans at it, as these are Glaceon’s preferred foods.

The player will get a Razz Berry and a Vivichoke whenever a Glaceon is caught or defeated in the wild.

Location

Sadly, the player cannot find a Glaceon in the wild under normal circumstances in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. There is a very slight possibility, however, that Glaceon will appear inside Space-Time Distortions in the Alabaster Icelands.

Research Tasks

The following are the Research Tasks in Glaceon’s Pokedex entry:

MultiplierResearch TaskObjectives
x2Number caught1/2/3/4/5
Times you have seen it use Baby-Doll Eyes1/2/4/10/15
x2Times you have seen it use Ice Beam1/3/8/20/40
x2Times you have seen it use an agile style move1/3/10/30/70

A Pokemon’s Research Level must reach Research Level 10 for its Pokedex entry to be completed. By completing one objective of a Research Task, the player can raise that entry’s Research Level by one. Additionally, the entry will gain two Research Levels rather than one if the player completes a Research Task objective with a multiplier of x2.

To quickly complete Glaceon’s Pokedex entry, the player can catch one by evolving an Eevee using an Ice Stone or by being near an Ice Rock, then using it three times in battle and Ice Beam in Agile Style. Completing these will complete the first objective of the “Number caught” Research Task and add 2 to the Research Level due to its x2 multiplier, then completing both the first and second objectives of the “Times you have seen it use Leaf Blade” and “Times you have seen it use an agile style move” Research Tasks will gain eight more Research Levels due to their x2 multipliers, bringing the total to Research Level 10.
