In the early years of the Pokémon universe, when humans and Pokemon did not get along, is when Pokemon Legends: Arceus was set.
This game is set in the Hisui region of the Pokemon world, which is later renamed Sinnoh. The player must catch every Pokémon in this region to fill out Hisui’s first Pokédex, which they use to research Pokemon.
At Jubilife Village, the player will be assigned to the Survey Corps of the Galaxy Expedition Team (also referred to as the Galaxy Team).
It is the responsibility of this Survey Corps to conduct local Pokemon research. In this guide, you will learn everything you need to know about Luxray!
Luxray, the seventeenth Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is an Electric type Gleam Eyes Pokemon with a black and light blue body that resembles a lion, a blue face, a pair of eyes with red sclerae and yellow pupils, a small red nose, round blue ears with yellow insides, a black mane on its head, a black neck, a blue torso, four legs with the back of its front legs colored blue and with three yellow stripes and the lower front and whole back of its hind legs also colored blue, a furry rear, and a long, black, and thin tail with a yellow four-pointed star on the tip.
When Luxray’s eyes sparkle with gold, the legend shows it can see through anything. Luxrays form packs in the game, according to its Pokedex entry, with each pack led by a male Luxray.
Luxray is a Steel and Ground type Pokemon. It has a weakness to Ground-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Electric type, Flying type, and Steel-type activities (not very effective).
Luxray prefers Springy Mushrooms, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans if the player tries to tempt it with food before catching it.
The player will receive a Spoiled Apricorn and a Cheri Berry if a Luxray is caught or defeated.
Luxray’s base stats are 80 HP, 120 Attack, 79 Defense, 95 Special Attack, 95 Special Defense, and 70 Speed, for a total of 523.
A Luxray is evolved from Luxio when it reaches Level 30, which evolved from Shinx when it reached Level 15.
Luxray can be found in the following locations:
Obsidian Fieldlands: in Sandgem Flats.
Coronet Highlands: in Heavenward Lookout, Sonorous Path, and the southern part of Cloudcap Pass.
Luxray can be found in the locations mentioned above at all times of the day and in every weather condition.
An Alpha Luxray is located in the Sacred Plaza (west of Celestica Ruins or east of Moonview Arena) in the Coronet Highlands and can also be found in the area mentioned at all times of the day and in every weather condition. The Alpha Luxray found in this location is a Level 55 Pokemon.
Aside from that, the player can find Luxray in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Obsidian Fieldlands, the Coronet Highlands, and inside Space-Time Distortions.
The following are the Research Tasks in Luxray’s Pokedex entry:
|Number you’ve defeated with Ground type moves||1/2/4/6/10|
|Times you’ve seen it use Thunder Fang||1/3/6/12/25|
|Times you’ve seen it use Crunch||1/3/6/12/25|
|x2||Times you’ve seen it use Wild Charge||1/3/8/20/40|
|Times you’ve seen it use a strong style move||1/3/8/20/40|
|Number of different forms you’ve obtained||2|
Except for Research Tasks with an x2 multiplier, which increases two Research Levels for completing one objective, the player must complete several objectives for a certain Research Task to increase Luxray’s Research Level by one. To complete Luxray’s Pokedex entry, the player needs to reach Research Level 10.
To quickly complete Luxray’s Pokedex entry, the player can catch two Luxrays, which ticks the first and second objective of the ‘number caught’ Research Task, which has an x2 multiplier, so it immediately raises the Research Level to 4, use one of the Luxrays in battle the use Crunch three times, which ticks the first and second objective of the ‘times you have seen it use Crunch’ Research Task and adds two more Research Levels, and use Thunder Fang three times, which ticks the first and second objective of the ‘times you’ve seen it use Thunder Fang’ Research Task and adds two more Research Levels, to reach Research Level 10.
Luxray can learn new moves in two ways: by leveling up and by visiting the Training Grounds.
Luxray will learn and master these moves by leveling up:
|Move||Type||Learn Level||Master Level||Power||Accuracy||PP|
|Quick Attack||Normal type||1||9||40||100||20|
|Thunder Shock||Electric type||5||14||40||100||25|
|Thunder Fang||Electric type||15||25||65||95||15|
|Thunder Wave||Electric type||21||31||0||90||20|
|Wild Charge||Electric type||37||48||85||100||10|
Luxray can learn these moves at the Training Grounds to the northwest of Jubilife Village:
|Baby-Doll Eyes||Fairy type||0||100||20|
|Charge Beam||Electric type||50||90||15|
|Fire Fang||Fire type||65||95||15|
|Thunder Fang||Electric type||65||95||15|
|Ice Fang||Ice type||65||95||15|
|Play Rough||Fairy type||85||90||10|
|Wild Charge||Electric type||85||100||10|
|Iron Tail||Steel type||100||75||5|
|Hyper Beam||Normal type||120||90||5|
|Giga Impact||Normal type||120||90||5|
Because the player now owns a Luxray and understands everything about it, the player can attempt to utilize it to complete requests, missions, or Arceus’ objective for the player, which is to catch ’em all!
