Pokemon Legends: Arceus took place in the early years of the Pokemon universe when humans and Pokémon considered each other anything but allies.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ultimate Silcoon Guide

The Pokemon universe’s Hisui region, where this game takes place, is a past version of the Sinnoh region. To complete Hisui’s first Pokédex, which is used to learn about Pokémon, the player must catch every Pokémon in this region.

The player will be assigned to the Survey Corps by the Jubilife Village’s Galaxy Expedition Team (also known as the Galaxy Team), responsible for researching the local Pokemon.

In this guide, we will learn everything you need to know about Silcoon!

Silcoon

Silcoon, the 19th Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Bug-type Cocoon Pokemon with a body that looks like a white, well, cocoon, white silk, and two holes where a pair of round, red eyes with black pupils can be found. Still, one of them is partially covered by white silk.

According to its Pokedex entry in the game, Silcoon will wrap itself in thin silk strings while it stores energy to evolve. Also, Silcoon’s eyes are always on a sharp lookout, but it moves slowly and can’t extend its limbs.

Basic Information

Silcoon is a Bug-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Fire-type, Flying-type, and Rock-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Fighting-type, Grass-type, and Ground-type moves (not very effective).

Silcoon’s base stats are 50 HP, 35 Attack, 55 Defense, 25 Special Attack, 25 Special Defense, and 15 Speed, for a total of 205.

Silcoon can evolve from a Wurmple once it reaches Level 7, then into a Beautifly once it reaches Level 10. Wumple will grow into a Silcoon or a Cascoon, and the Pokemon it will evolve to is decided randomly.

If the player decides to feed it with food to distract it before catching it, then it is worth mentioning that Silcoon prefers Springy Mushroom, Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans

Once a Silcoon is defeated or caught, the player will get a Spoiled Apricorn and an Apricorn.

Location

Silcoon can be only found in the following area:

In the Obsidian Fieldlands: in the Floaro Gardens and The Heartwood.

Silcoon can be found in the mentioned area in every weather condition but only during the day (morning, midday, and evening).

Aside from that, the Silcoon can also be found in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Obsidian Fieldlands.

Research Tasks

The following are the Research Tasks in Silcoon’s Pokedex entry:

MultiplierResearch TaskObjectives
x2Number caught1/2/4/10/15
Number caught during daylight hours1/2/5/10/20
Number defeated1/3/6/12/25
Number you’ve defeated with Flying type moves1/2/4/6/10
Times you’ve seen it use Poison Sting1/3/6/12/25
x2Number you’ve evolved1/2/3

The player can gain a Research Level for a Pokemon’s Pokedex entry by completing an objective for a Research Task. However, completing an objective for a Research Task with an x2 multiplier will raise two Research Levels. To complete a Pokemon’s Pokedex entry, the player must let it reach Research Level 10.

To quickly complete Silcoon’s Pokedex entry, the player must catch five Silcoon during the daylight hours, which ticks the first, second, and third objectives of the “number caught” and “number caught during the daylight hours” Research Entries to raise the Research Level to 9 thanks to former’s x2 multiplier, and defeat one more Silcoon, which ticks the first objective of the “Number defeated” Research Task to add one more Research Level, to reach Research Level 10.

Moves

Silcoon will be able to learn and master these moves by leveling up:

Relevant Request

Silcoon is involved in Request 10, called “Wurmple’s Evolved.”

To unlock this request, the player must do the following:

  1. Complete Beauregard’s request titled ‘Wurmple Can Evolve,’ the first request in the game, where the player must catch a Wurmple and give it to him.
  2. Beauregard’s Wurmple should then evolve into a Cascoon. This can be accomplished by capturing at least 35 Pokemon, returning to Beauregard, and speaking with him to see his Wurmple evolve.
  3. Then, catch ten more Pokemon and register them to the player’s Pokedex.
  4. Finally, the player should have a Cascoon and a Silcoon that were manually evolved from Wurmples.

After fulfilling the aforementioned requirements, the player may now begin this request. Go to the Galaxy Hall and enter Professor Laventon’s room, which is to the left of Captain Cyllene’s office.

Then, a blackboard can be found in Professor Laventon’s room, just behind the professor. The player can accept a few requests that are written on this blackboard.

Press the A button to interact with the blackboard, then choose “Wurmple’s Evolved!” Request from the prompt. And with that, the request has begun!

After starting the request, head out of the Galaxy Hall and talk to Beauregard guarding the entrance. He will tell the player that Professor Laventon thinks that Beauregard’s Wurmple has evolved into a Cascoon, but Beauregard thinks it’s a Silcoon. So, Beauregard will ask the player to catch a Silcoon and then show it to him so he can distinguish which Pokemon is which.

The player must now catch a Silcoon. Again, Silcoon can only be found in the Obsidian Fieldlands, specifically in the Floaro Gardens in the west of the Fieldlands Camp and The Heartwood near the Grandtree Arena in the southeast of the map of the Obsidian Fieldlands and they only appear in these areas during the day (morning, midday, and evening).

A Silcoon can also be obtained by evolving a Wurmple. A Wurmple, on the other hand, can evolve into either a Cascoon or a Silcoon, and there is no way to guarantee that it will evolve into a Silcoon. This method would most likely necessitate several attempts at capturing a Wurmple and allowing it to evolve.

If you can’t find a Silcoon, this option will always be available. The player can also only find Wurmples in the Obsidian Fieldlands, specifically in the Floaro Gardens, Horseshoe Plains, and a little bit south of Aspiration Hill, which are all in the northern part of Obsidian Fieldlands, or The Heartwood in the southeast part of the Obsidian Fieldlands.

One has caught a Silcoon, heads back to Jubilife Village, and finds Beauregard posted outside the Galaxy Hall.

To show him the Silcoon you caught, speak with him. When he compares it to his Cascoon, he first assumes they are identical.

However, when he realizes that they aren’t (obviously), he will still find it hard to believe that two Pokemon could be so similar yet belong to different species.

His Cascoon will then receive an apology from him for not actually knowing his Pokemon, and their relationship will now be closer than ever.

Finally, the request is completed, and Beauregard will reward the player with one Exp. Candy S, for your efforts.

Now that the player has one and is familiar with it, the player can try to use Silcoon to complete requests, missions, or Arceus’ assignment for the player—to catch ’em all.
