Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ultimate Sylveon Guide

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is one of the most highly anticipated games in the Pokemon franchise, offering a new take on the beloved series with a semi-open-world, action role-playing game set in the ancient Sinnoh known as the Hisui region.

The Galaxy Expedition Team, also called the Galaxy Team, will enlist the player as a member of the Survey Corps, tasked with exploring the Hisui region and studying all the Pokemon present there. One of the player’s main duties is to complete the first Pokedex by catching each species of Pokemon in the area as a way to gain more information about them.

This guide will discuss everything you need to know about Sylveon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus!

Sylveon, the 33rd Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Fairy type Intertwining Pokemon with a body covered in pale white and pink fur, a pair of light blue eyes with white pupils, a small black nose, a small mouth, pink fur on top of its head with tufts of fur near its right ear, a pair of pink ears with thicker fur and blue insides, a pink and pale white bow that has long ribbon-like organs attached to it that has pink, blue, and light blue tips on its neck and the base of its left ear, four thin legs with pink paws and three toes on each paw, and a fluffy, pink, curved tail.

According to its Pokedex entry in the game, Sylveon releases a soothing aura from its ribbon-shaped organs and can wrap them around quarrelers to instantly calm and defuse them.

Sylveon is a Fairy-type Pokemon, so it is weak (super effective) to Poison-type and Steel-type moves, resistant (not very effective) to the Bug-type, Dark-type, and Fighting-type moves, and immune (no effect) to Dragon-type moves.

Sylveon’s base stats are 95 HP, 65 Attack, 65 Defense, 110 Special Attack, 130 Special Defense, and 60 Speed for a total of 525.

Sylveon evolved from an Eevee when it reached a High Friendship Level and if it has learned a Fairy-type move in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

To increase a Pokemon’s Friendship Level, the player must have the Pokemon in their party, utilize them in battles without letting them faint, and use them to gather materials from trees, ores, and the like.

The Friendship Level of a Pokemon can be checked through the Friendship Checker named Belamy, situated south of the Pastures in the eastern portion of Jubilife Village. It is important to note that the Friendship Checker is not accessible at the beginning of the game, and the player must first complete the “Measuring Your Compatibility” Request (request 28) to gain access to it. Once this is done, the player can speak with Belamy and choose the Pokemon they wish to check for Friendship Level. Below is the actual Friendship Level according to Belamy’s description:

Friendship LevelBelamy’s Description
Base Friendship“[Your Pokemon] seems leery of you yet. New to the team, perhaps?”
Low“I suppose [your Pokemon]’s become a bit friendly toward you, but you’ve a ways to go…”
Mid“[Your Pokemon] seems to get on well with you. But I’m sure it could get on better!”
High“You and [your Pokemon] seem to be fast friends. You must be quite good companions!”
Highest“What an excellent pair of friends you and [your Pokemon] make. You must mean a lot to each other!”

The player’s Eevee must reach the High or Highest Friendship Level to evolve into a Sylveon.

Eevee can also evolve into a Flareon by using a Fire Stone, a Vaporeon by using a Water Stone, a Jolteon by using a Thunder Stone, a Leafeon when near the Moss Rock or by using a Leaf Stone, a Glaceon when near the Ice Rock or by using an Ice Stone, an Umbreon when it reached a High Friendship Level and evolved during the night (without knowing any Fairy type moves), and an Espeon when it reached a High Friendship Level and evolved during the day (without knowing any Fairy type moves).

To divert Sylveon’s attention, throw out Springy Mushrooms, Hearty Grains, or Plump Beans, as these are its preferred foods.

When a Sylveon is caught or defeated in the wild, it will drop both a Razz Berry and a Vivichoke, which the player will receive.

Unfortunately, under normal circumstances, Sylveon can not be found anywhere in the wild. In very rare cases, however, Sylveon may appear inside Space-Time Distortions in the Obsidian Fieldlands.

Research Tasks

The following are the Research Tasks in Sylveon’s Pokedex entry:

MultiplierResearch TaskObjectives
x2Number caught1/2/3/4/5
Times you have seen it use Baby-Doll Eyes1/2/4/10/15
x2Times you have seen it use Fairy Wind1/3/8/20/40
x2Times you have seen it use an agile style move1/3/10/30/70

For a Pokemon’s Pokedex entry to be fully finished, its Research Level must reach 10. To raise the Research Level of a particular entry, the player must accomplish one of the entry’s Research Tasks. Alternatively, if the player completes a Research Task objective with an x2 multiplier, the entry will receive two Research Levels instead of just one.

To quickly complete Sylveon’s Pokedex entry, the player can catch one by evolving an Eevee by getting its Friendship Level to High, letting it learn a Fairy-type move, and using it in battle. Use Fairy Wind in Agile Style three times. These will complete the first objective of the “Number caught” Research Task, will raise the Research Level to 2 because of its x2 multiplier, and complete both the first and second objectives of the “Times you’ve seen it use Fairy Wind” and the “Times you’ve seen it use an agile style move” Research Tasks will add a combined 8 Research Levels, once again thanks to their x2 multipliers, ultimately bringing the Research Level to 10.

Sylveon may be able to learn new moves by leveling up or learning them from the Training Grounds.
