Fans of motorcycle racing can rejoice as RIDE 4 is now out. One of the few bike games out there, RIDE 4 allows you to do all the cool tricks you’ve seen on TV. And what’s more iconic than drifting? Let’s see how you can do it in the game and make it look just as cool and effortless as the professionals.
How to drift in RIDE 4
First off, you may need to go into the game settings and adjust some of them. It’s best to turn off Traction Control. This will make it easier for your bike to fall and to lose control while braking. However, that’s perfect for those that want to drift and powerslide. Also, turn on manual control.
To drift in RIDE 4, you’ll need to:
- Approach a turn
- Steer left or right, depending on which way the turn goes
- Turn as you start to turn, press the rear brake and downshifting buttons at the same time
- Release the brake as you want to avoid falling
- Drift
As with many things that require subtle control, describing the method of drifting in RIDE 4 is easier than actually doing it. Get as much practice as you can. You’ll fall many times, but this is just a natural part of the process of learning how to drift in RIDE4. Remember that there’s a very thin line separating a successful drift from a fall on the pavement. All you have to do is ride the line and avoid falling, which is easier said than done.
