The zombie genre likes to bounce back and forth from dark to silly, and after the gloomy tone of The Last of Us earlier this year, Deep Silver Dambuster Studios is looking to add a little more silly fun to the undead apocalypse.

If you’ve seen earlier previews for the game, you’ll know Dead Island is the furthest thing from The Last of Us or Resident Evil. Sure, we have an immune protagonist, but despite the city being overrun by the dead, some survivors seem to be more concerned about drugs or their number of followers online—I guess that’s LA for you.
Dead Island 2 launches for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 4|5 on April 21.
