Final Fantasy is no doubt one of the biggest game franchises in the industry, but the characters from Final Fantasy VII hold a special place in every gamer’s heart. With the series celebrating its 25th anniversary, we have a special message from the original game director Yoshinori Kitase as well as the Remake creative director Testuya Nomura.

Here’s the post:

With fans awaiting the follow-up to FFVII Remake, Nomura does tease that we would be seeing more of Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith in the future. He writes:

“There will be even more new FFVII projects that started up after the remake coming in the future too. The team see this 25th anniversary as a waypoint on our journey with FFVII, and will continue pressing ahead to even greater things, so please keep supporting us going forward!”

We don’t know when Square is ready to give us our first look at Remake Part 2, but some guess that we could get a reveal in Sony’s upcoming State of Play which kicks off on Feb. 2. Of course, no official announcement has been made, but seeing that FF has become a PS exclusive, PlayStation would want to build the hype of one of their biggest titles in upcoming event.

In the meantime, you can check out Part 1 of Final Fantasy VII Remake now playable for PlayStation 4|5 as well as PC. Sony’s State of Play 2022 happens on Feb. 2.
