Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova Game Officially Announced

While Star Trek may be taking its time to come back to the big screen, several properties have managed to come out on television. The kid-friendly animated Star Trek Prodigy premiered last year, and now a new game based on the show has been announced.

Watch the announce trailer here:

Here’s the official description:

Are you ready for an epic intergalactic adventure? ???? Star Trek: Prodigy is getting its first video game ever! ???? Set off into space as Dal R’El and Gwyndala in a race against time to save their friends, the Protostar, and a new alien species before a supernova destroys them all.

With the series aimed at kids, it looks like the game is going for the same target audience. While it doesn’t look like a AAA game, it looks like good fun for anyone who wants to interact with the world of Prodigy, and I’m sure there are some kids who would just eat this whole world up when it releases.

If anything, you can check out the original show on Paramount+ right now. Surely it will change your mind about jumping into this animated world of Trek.

Now if they could come up with a game based on Star Trek: Lower Decks that’s on the same vein as the South Park games, I would be one happy Trek fan.

Star Trek Prodigy: Supernova is set to hit PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch this October.
