Many fans have been gushing online about Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but we could be getting another Star Wars title from a ‘big-name developer.’
As shared by Video Game Chronicle’s Andy Robinson on Twitter, a Star Wars real-time strategy game from a big studio is in the works and hasn’t been revealed yet. Here’s the post:
We don’t know which studio could be working on an RTS Star Wars game yet, but hopefully, we don’t have to wait much longer. You’d think they would have revealed it by Star Wars Day, May 4, but I guess we’ll just have to wait another day before we get an update on this game—if it’s even coming at all.
It’s been a while since we got a good Star Wars Strategy game, with titles like Star Wars: Battlegrounds and Empire at War coming out in the ‘00s. We did get the Clash of Clans clone on mobile called Star Wars Commander, but that game completely shut down its servers in 2020.
Since we don’t have any details or announcements for this RTS Star Wars game, I am curious about what eras the game would take place in. Disney has been leaning in on the OT and Prequel eras, but it would be great if they could expand to the Sequels with the First Order taking on the Resistance.
We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
Lucasfilm Games hasn’t officially announced an RTS Star Wars game, but you can check out Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, now available for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
