Nintendo Switch and old-gen console players may have to wait for a few more months, but February will see the launch of the much anticipated Hogwarts Legacy on the new-gen consoles and PC. The game is set to launch next week, and we have a new trailer showcasing what’s in store for your special Hogwarts student.

There’s Much to Learn in Launch Trailer for Hogwarts Legacy

Though Hogwarts Legacy has tried its best to tell players what’s in store, it seems that the launch trailer is the only one that confirms what the protagonist’s special abilities are—and what makes them seem to be an interesting target for dark wizards.

Besides the central character’s special ability, it also looks like we’re going to be checking out some official classes, as well as some secret dungeons in Hogwarts. Though the films have given us their own version of Salazar Slytherin’s Chamber of Secrets, it looks like the game has designed their own version of secret room. I wonder if we’re going to see the giant snake in the statue as well?

Admittedly there has been a call online to boycott the game thanks to Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling’s views on the trans community. Despite the movement though, Hogwarts Legacy still remains to be one of the most anticipated games of the year. I guess the developers have been reiterating that Rowling had nothing to do with development, but we’re pretty sure she’s still getting that royalty check.

Hogwarts Legacy launches for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on Feb. 10.
