VALORANT: Best Fade Lineups on Bind (Defending)

Without a traditional middle lane, you would probably think Bind would be easier to defend than most other maps in VALORANT.

The lack of a middle lane means the Attacking team will not have access to flanking lanes toward bomb sites. However, Bind’s A-site and B-site feature parallel entryways that the Attacking team can use to overwhelm either bomb site with their sheer numbers.

Early information will play a big part in defending Bind’s bombsites. With that in mind, we have featured some of the best Fade lineups on Bind that you can use to gain early information on the enemy team.

How to Use Fade’s Haunt Ability?

image 224

Pressing your keyboard’s [E] button will equip Fade’s Haunt ability – a cooldown-based recon ability that can reveal and mark enemy locations exposed by its “watcher.”

Fade Haunt Ability Details:

  • Duration: 2-seconds;
  • Cooldown: 40-seconds;
  • Health: 1 HP;
  • Effects: Reveals enemies caught in the ability line of sight. Enemies caught in the line of sight will be Trailed for 12-seconds.

After Fade equips her Haunt ability, she can throw the Haunt orb towards a target location. After landing, a ‘watcher’ will spawn, linger for 2 seconds, and reveal anyone along its line of sight.

Fade can immediately drop the orb mid-air to activate the ‘watcher’ sooner by pressing the [E] button again.

Haunt can stick and clip onto just about any horizontal surface around maps, making Fade’s Haunt a lineup-friendly ability that can be used to find strategic locations for early information.

Lastly, since Haunt is a cooldown-based ability, it is best to use it early in the round so the 40-second cooldown can start counting down, which allows the user to equip Haunt again later in the round.

Bind A-Short Early Information Fade Haunt Lineup

If the Attacking team decides to Attack A-site on Bind, you can be sure you’ll find a few players lurking around the A-Short and A-Lobby area.

Use this Fade Haunt lineup to reveal any Attacking team player standing around the A-Short or A-Lobby area. Any player spotted by Haunt will become Trailed for 12 seconds, so follow up with Fade’s Prowler ability to catch the enemy team off guard.

  1. Stand in this corner between the wall and the A-Short boxes:

Bind A-Short Alternative Early Information Fade Haunt Lineup

Having just one lineup for an important spot such as A-Short on Bind won’t cut it – the Attacking team will be on the lookout for the same lineup at round start. Since Fade’s Haunt can easily be destroyed by enemy fire, you’re better off learning an entirely different lineup for the same spot to keep enemies guessing.

Here’s an alternative Early Information Fade Haunt Lineup for A-Short. Alternate between this lineup and the previous one above so the enemy team won’t know where you’ll line up Haunt next.

  1. Outside the U-Hall Entrance, hug the Teleporter wall and move left until the edge of the wall aligns with the small door’s right edge:

2. Look towards the water tank and aim for the middle of the leftmost steel bar:

When done correctly, Fade’s Haunt Ability should land on this wall at A-Short:

Bind B-Short/B-Long Fade Haunt Lineups in Valorant

Like A-Short, B-Short will be full of Attacking team players if the Attackers decide to take B-site control on Bind. The faster you can spot the Attacking team, the earlier your teammates from A-site can rotate accordingly.

This Fade Haunt Lineup is excellent for gaining early information on enemy locations at B-Short and some of B-Long.

  1. Line yourself up against this wall in Hooka:

2. Look towards the shelves on the wall, then place the lower right shelf leg inside the Seize Ability icon’s hole:

3. Left-click-throw Fade’s Haunt Ability:

When done correctly, Fade’s Haunt Ability should land on this corner on the B-Short roof:

Bind B-Long Fade Haunt Lineup

Defending B-site from B-Elbow? No problem. Use this Fade Haunt Lineup to spot and Trail all enemies around the B-Long/B-Teleporter/B-Garden Entrance.

This lineup is useful when you’ve already heard a couple of footsteps at the B-Teleporter area. That way, Haunt can spot and Trail as many Attackers as possible before they eventually enter the B-site. Follow up with your Prowler or Seize ability to take advantage of the confusion.

  1. Stand in this corner at B-Elbow:

2. Turn around and look toward the tall tower:

3. Aim along the middle-right side of the tower:

7 1

4. Left-click-throw Fade’s Haunt Ability:

When done correctly, Fade’s Haunt Ability should land along the edge of this wall outside B-Garden:

Seek Them Out

The Attacking team will want to stack either A-Short or B-Short at the round start. The more attackers bunch up around these spots, the higher the likelihood the attacking team will attack the adjacent bombsite. With that in mind, you will want to gain information quickly to alert your teammates about the incoming Attacker push.

Fade’s Haunt Ability works excellently for both attacking and defending around Bind. Learn these lineups; you can easily gather information about enemy positions around the map.
