VALORANT fans are finally getting a water-type Poke- Oh, wait, wrong game.
Fans are finally getting some leaks on the newest VALORANT Agent.
The previous patch has already named the newest Agent in the VALORANT lore (Varum Batra) and Patch 5.04 have given fans confirmation about Agent 21 who turned out to be a former REALM operative turned fugitive after stealing a “priceless” artifact.
All these lore details are shaping to be yet another exciting chapter in VALORANT’s story, but fans could use a little more information about the new Agent gameplay-wise.
Fortunately, fans have something to be excited about, as an exciting new leak has revealed Agent 21’s abilities in-game.
Agent 21 Abilities Leak
A Reddit post by u/Fun_Professional_480 shows a screenshot in The Range with what looks like a blacked-out version of the newest VALORANT Agent.
All other information such as their Agent Icon and even the hands are in blue, suggesting the new Agent’s portrait and player model has yet to be finalized in-game by the devs. This isn’t such as big deal right now, as both these elements don’t contribute to gameplay anyway.
What contributes to gameplay, however, are the new Agent’s abilities. And boy, does the leak give fans a lot less to imagine about how the newest Agent will fit into the current VALORANT meta.
The same leaked image pictures all of the newest Agent’s Ability Icons, their names, as well as a brief description of what each ability does.
As with all leaks, take this one with a few more grains of salt than usual. Until Riot Games officially reveals the identity and the full abilities list for Agent 21, these leaked abilities could very well change dramatically over the course of a night.
With that said, here are Agent 21’s Abilities according to the leaked image:
Vision Taker (C)
Equip a distortion wall launcher. FIRE to create a small line of distortion. Enemies will get briefly blinded if they walk through.
Tartarus Pit (Q)
EQUIP a Tartarus charger. FIRE to launch a crippling shot that deals some damage and slows players within the zone.
Bubble (E)
EQUIP bubble and enter into a phased state to place down a bubble by pressing the ability key. Activate to create an impenetrable bubble. Bullets cannot pass through.
Golem (X)
EQUP the golem doll. FIRE to throw the golem doll. All teammates in the radius will get a regeneration buff and enemies will get a decay debuff. Lasts for a duration or until destroyed by enemies.
A quick look at Agent 21’s abilities will tell you about their disruptive and slow/debuff-oriented gameplay, which can be very effective when playing the Defending side in-game. Still, fans will have to wait and see how players utilize Agent 21’s abilities when she is officially released.
Water Leak
So far, leaks have been pretty much spot on in terms of Agent Abilities and effects, so fans can pretty much expect to see a completed Agent 21 that features more or less the same ability effects as described by the leaked image.
But, leaks will still be leaks, and it’s best to wait for Riot Games’ official announcements regarding the newest Agent. Nevertheless, fans will be even more pumped after seeing these leaks for Agent 21.
