VALORANT: Patch 6.06 Notes - Gekko and Lotus Updates, Bug Fixes, and more

New Agents and Maps, such as the recent Gekko and Lotus releases, are bound to have a few bugs and inconsistencies when they first come out in VALORANT. The good news is that Riot Games has a robust bug-busting team that consists of their hardworking devs and members of the community through VALORANT’s PBE.

This week’s VALORANT update consists of some more Gekko and Lotus bug fixes alongside some general bug fixes and minor gameplay updates.

We have outlined everything you need to know about VALORANT Patch 6.06 in this quick guide.

Gekko Bug Fixes

Gekko continues to have ability effect and VFX inconsistencies in VALORANT. This time around, Riot Games addresses Mosh Pit’s ability effects to make it more consistent with other abilities such as KAY/O’s FRAG/ment and Breach’s Aftershock.

Damage inflicted by Mosh Pit to objects has been reduced as well to make it more consistent with the rest of the Agents’ ability damage multiplier on objects.

Mosh Pit

  • Mosh Pit’s damage to objects has been performing inconsistently with relative abilities such as KAY/O’s FRAG/ment and Breach’s Aftershock.
    • Damage to objects has reduced 2.5x >>> 1x.

Wingman

  • Wingman will now always die if he is last alive.

Lotus Updates

Lotus gets minor updates for Patch 6.06 directed toward the A-Link door. Previously, players are not able to see other players on the other side of the door as the door collapses, making it difficult to make millisecond adjustments in case there are enemies on the other side.

The new VFX addresses this issue and should make the other side of the A-Link destructible door more visible as it crumbles after being shot down.
