VALORANT Patch 6.10 is now live, and here’s everything you need to know about the new update.
It’s already the end of May, and VALORANT is in its 10th update for Episode 6. Episode 7 is just around the corner, so Riot Games has slowly but surely been releasing updates and bug fixes to round out Episode 6.
This quick guide outlines everything you need about the new VALORANT update.
Spray Wheel and Updated Collections Page
The new update includes a Spray Wheel feature, an updated Collections page, and a new way of equipping Sprays in VALORANT.
To get you up to speed on the Spray Wheel, we have made a separate guide on how to use the Spray Wheel in VALORANT. Check that out so you don’t miss any spray functionality in-game.
With that out of the way, here are all the new Spray Wheel-related features you can expect in Patch 6.10.
- Added an in-game Spray Wheel.
- Retained Quick Spray functionality when tapping the Spray Keybind. (Uses the spray equipped at the top of the Spray wheel)
- Added new equip flow for the Spray Wheel on the Collections page.
- Replaced Spray Carousel with a Grid that can be searched, filtered, and sorted by favorites.
- Added audio queue and visible timer to indicate cooldowns on Spray Wheel.
- Added Empty Spray to allow users to empty their Wheel or key bind.
- Added a text and image to indicate pre- or post-round only sprays.
- Add settings to the Settings page under Controls -> Equipment to customize your spraying experience better.
- Includes a sensitivity slider, the ability to turn off the wheel entirely, and separate the key binds.
- Removed the “wall” texture to display Sprays on the Spray Screen.
Agent and Cosmetic Updates
Spray Wheel aside, VALORANT Patch 6.10 includes targeting optimizations for Brimstone and Omen’s abilities, alongside a slew of other Agent-related updates such as portrait updates, changes to KAY/O’s EMP knife, new voice lines for Reyna, and more.
- Updated the size of Brimstone’s Sky Smoke and Orbital Strike targeting reticles to match their size before the update that shipped in patch 6.08.
- Removed the mouse cursor displayed on Brimstone’s Sky Smoke, Orbital Strike, and Omen’s From the Shadows.
- Updated Harbor Agent Portrait
- Updated some Agents’ portraits to display in high-resolution
- KAY/O Zero/Point hitbox update
- Shooting the EMP Knife at the handle will now destroy it
- New voicelines for Reyna
- New interaction lines with Gekko, Chamber, and KAY/O
- RGX 11z Pro EP 4 and Oni EP 6 Gun Buddy now have variant shift features
- RGX EP 4 Gun Buddy will now shift colors when equipped on either the Vandal or Phantom
Patch 6.10 Gameplay Systems Updates and Bug Fixes
Of course, Patch 6.10 would not be complete without Gameplay Updates and bug fixes. Below are all the bugs the devs and the PBE community have weed out from the game.
- Font updates to fix missing character glyphs in some languages.
- Fixed an issue where you can see ghost enemies when they enter the line of sight.
- Fixed an issue where you can continue to defuse the Spike despite being out of line of sight.
- Fixed multiple bugs with Yoru’s Fakeout
- Fixed min flash bug where players still get flashed despite being outside the ability’s conal range.
- Fixed a bug with Fakeout’s Echo, which sometimes lacks a weapon.
- Fakeout’s Echo should now use a more accurate weapon and skin.
- Fixed a slight delay issue with concussion effects.
- Fixed a bug causing Killjoy’s Turret to aim at the ground.
