Every generation of kids has their version of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but Dotemu is going retro with their upcoming game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. The game is set to come out this summer, and we have some new gameplay footage featuring the four main Heroes in a Half-Shell.
Watch this:
Fresh extended gameplay finds the Turtles kicking Foot Clan shell throughout the first two stages of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, thrashing foes as they tour their favorite, iconic stops across Manhattan, including the Channel 6 studio and the streets of New York.
The gameplay essentially features Leo, Mikey, Donny, and Raph, and we get to see how each one traverses the level in their way. And while the characters do have special moves on their own, they also come with some shared abilities, like Mikey and Raph being able to throw enemies into the screen.
I think it is also a fun touch that we get to see what the Foot Ninjas are up to right before the turtles come in to kick their butts.
The gameplay reveals also comes with the announcement that the original voice actors from the 1987 cartoon will be making a comeback for this game. Despite the nostalgia-pandering, I hope that Shredder’s Revenge also has something fun in store for newbies to the franchise.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is coming out this summer for PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.
