Since it has been more than a year since Forbidden West released, it would make sense that the devs would want the players to refresh their reflexes for the game. We don’t know exactly what story Burning Shores wants to tell, but maybe this video hints that we have to finish the main quest to be able to get into the DLC.

The video also confirms that Lance Reddick’s Sylens will also be making a comeback. With Reddick’s recent passing making waves online, I’m curious if they’re going to use this DLC as a proper sendoff for his character. Then again, I am in the camp of just having someone else take over the Sylens role, but with Reddick’s features kept intact. I’d definitely cast someone with the same kind of sultry voice, like Keith David from Rick and Morty.

[This] expansion to Horizon Forbidden West which sees Aloy pursue a sinister threat in the untamed wilds of Los Angeles, now a treacherous volcanic archipelago.

She will be traveling to a dangerous new region south of the Tenakth Clan Lands, featuring a compelling storyline following from where Horizon Forbidden West ended, new characters, adventures, and more.

Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores is set to release on April 19 for the PS5.
