Amazon Prime Video is set to return to the world of Middle-earth this September with The Rings of Power, but since it’s a months-long wait, you can jump into Tolkien’s fantasy realm with Lord of the Rings: Rise to War.
A new cinematic trailer has dropped for the game, and it also teases the upcoming characters that would be available to Rise to War soon.
The Lord of the Rings: Rise to War is a mobile strategy game based on the iconic trilogy books by J.R.R. Tolkien. Players can join factions, form alliances, and raise armies to rule over the expansive world of Middle Earth.
Though the main game focuses mainly on the characters in the Lord of the Rings timeline, I think the expansions will be bringing us characters from other eras of Middle-earth, like characters from The Hobbit trilogy. I’m sure there will be some players who would love to have a go at Radagast the Brown or Beron the Skin-changer.
We haven’t gotten a look at Rings of Power yet, but it’s very likely that Rise to War would want to add some characters and factions from that game. I mean, even their titles kind of have the same ring to them. Amazon and NetEase better find some of that brand synergy if they want people to be excited for both properties moving forward.
