Get ready to live your life as a half-human and half-beast in The Sims 4: Werewolves! Discover new beastly aspirations, join a fearsome clan, and hunt in a pack (or hole up by your lonesome self) in the quiet little town of Moonwood Mill.
“Werewolves” is the latest DLC that broadens the variety of supernatural creatures in The Sims 4. Simmers may recall that werewolves were first introduced in The Sims: Makin’ Magic, which has come a long way since then. If that has gotten you bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, let’s see how you can become a werewolf in this game pack.
Born To Prowl
The easiest way to play as a werewolf is to create one in Create-A-Sim mode (or CAS). The game pack adds a lot more depth to the customization of Sims with a new selection of grungy-themed clothing, hairstyles, body scars, and so much more. Simmers who take character creation seriously will spend hours customizing their Sim in human and werewolf forms.
To create a werewolf, click the Create a New Sim icon on the lower left corner of the screen. Hover your cursor over the Add Occult Sim tab and select Add Werewolf.
CAS allows you to make occult children, but you will only be able to customize them in human form. Like vampires, toddlers and kids can also bear the lycanthrope curse, but their abilities and powers will only awaken when they become teenagers.
You can edit the shape of a werewolf’s face, ears, eyes, teeth, and even cheek tufts. They also get to dress up in clothes just like humans. Modify the colors and patterns of your werewolf’s pelt with all the paint tools available in CAS. You can paint on any part of their body using a brush, a stamp, and a stencil. Some may notice that the paint system in the Werewolves pack was adapted from the Cats and Dogs DLC.
The paint tool also has several inks and patterns that can spruce up the pelt of your werewolf. For those with immense creativity, you can go wild on customizing your werewolf and give them a unique look that can set them apart from all the werewolves in Moonwood Mill.
Get Bitten
Getting the curse through a bite is probably the most satisfying way for Sims to become a werewolf, as you will witness their chaotic human-to-canine transformation in all glory.
Becoming a werewolf is one thing, but gaining their trust can increase your odds of joining their clan. The first step in allowing your Sim to become a werewolf is to let them befriend one with the Cursed Bearer ability. Moonwood Mill is cluttered with werewolves, but your best bet is to befriend an Alpha wolf or a pack leader. Two of the most powerful and influential pack leaders in town are Rory of the Wildfangs and Kristopher of the Moonwood Collective.
A werewolf can accidentally pass on the curse by mauling a human Sim. It’s also possible for Sims to acquire the curse or werebies when they are near an enraged werewolf. Humans can also contract werebies while exploring the rabbit hole-type underground tunnels. Rabbit holes are places like schools or workstations where you would not be able to follow and take complete control of Sims. Instead, you will be given text-based scenarios where you decide the outcome for them.
Sims who willingly let themselves get bitten by werewolves have more extended transformations. Meanwhile, the virus mutates faster for those who get bitten without consent. If you have a Sim who accidentally acquired werebies, you can undo the transformation by giving them the Werewolf Remedy. The remedy is acquired from a bartender at Grimtooth Bar & Bunker. Make your Sim consume the remedy if you do not want them to succumb to the lycanthropy curse.
Make A Werebaby
When two werewolves love each other too much, they make a werepup. This method can be made possible if two werewolf Sims are Fated Mates and have a close bond. Fated Mates is a mechanic that came with the pack in which a werewolf Sim can only have one partner in their lifetime. In other words, they can only have one partner per saved file. Defying their fate will cause them to feel uncomfortable while being with the wrong person.
If you defy fate and force a werewolf to settle down and make babies with a human, there is only a 50% chance for them to conceive a werewolf baby compared with pure-blood partners.
Sims born with the lycanthrope curse can only become full-fledged werewolves when they enter their teenage years. Fortunately, you will not be dealing with hairy toddlers throwing tantrums and eating all the furniture in their path.
Become A Trans-Wolf
Are you tired of watching your vampire thirst over blood and sink their teeth into humans every five seconds? You can make them say goodbye to cowering from the sun and say hello to howling at the moon instead. Any occult-type Sim can do the forbidden act of leaving their old life state behind so they can transform into another creature.
Spellcasters can go to the magical realm and ask one of the sages for the Rite of Dissolution to get rid of their magic. Vampires knowledgeable in their lore can whip up The Ultimate Vampire Cure at a cocktail bar to reverse vampirism. Mermaids can eat two pieces of kelp and enter a body of water to lose their fish tails forever. As for Aliens, you can type in the cheat code: traits.remove_trait trait_OccultAlien to turn them into humans.
