What’s on my radar, you ask? I’ve been hearing good things about SnowRunner ever since it was announced yesterday. That’s available immediately. I’m definitely very interested in checking out Maneater — the game that describes itself as a “shark-pg.” Though the arrival of MechWarrior 5 is certainly nothing to sneeze at either. You can never have too many mech games. You just can’t.
There are some relative unknowns on this list: The Wild at Heart and The Catch: Carp & Coarse Fishing, for instance. I want to dig more into those and see what their stories are.
One trend I’m definitely noticing is that Microsoft is doing a much better job securing PC games than it has in the past. Some of them are carryovers from the Xbox platform, but that’s actually great if the company is looking to keep some parity across PC and console.
The PC version of Xbox Game Pass has often felt like the red-headed stepchild in some ways. Console has often gotten more games, while those on the PC side haven’t been quite as lucky. It seems there’s a real shift happening on this front.
Anyway, now you know what’ll be keeping you busy through the rest of May. Be sure to check back closer to the end of the month, as Microsoft will undoubtedly have yet another slate of early June games to look over.
