Hello every and welcome to a quick mini guide on Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links. This guide is all about the deck skills in the game. We’ll be going over what they are and how to get some through out the game. Also, check out this awesome new site with card packs and deck builders!

What are they and how to use them
So if anyone is familiar with the old school Yugioh game then you’re probably a little confused with a few of Duel Links mechanics. The fact that the main field only has 3 zones instead of 5, you only have 30 cards in a deck instead of 40, but the most common one is the Deck Skills.
Deck Skills are abilities that can be equipped to your deck to give them special traits that can change the course of the game. Each skill is different and every character unlocked has different deck skills they can obtain adding a wide variety of them.
Equipping duel skills is a great thing to do to further your own skill in Duel Links. Choosing a deck skill is all about the deck you’re currently running.
Some deck skills revolve around boosting your spells and traps, or your monsters, or even your life points. So you want to have a deck skill that compliments the kind of deck you’re running.
There are quite a few deck skills in the game so you wont really know which ones are best until you try some out. The best advice is to build several decks with different strategies to them and test each deck to your liking.
Some of the better deck skills are ones that give you a high advantage from the start of any duel. Like beginning the duel with more life points or starting with a field spell automatically in play that assists your monsters.
Some even allow you to get extra cards as the duel is going on. For example, one of the deck skills you get from Yami Yugi allows you to draw a random Spell or Trap card whenever your life points drop below 1800.
So knowing exactly which ones to have on your deck and when to use them is a huge part of having deck skills. So take your time in testing each one and really knowing how you want your deck to be played.
How to get them?
The main way you obtain Deck Skills is through leveling up each character. When you win duels you get experience for your characters and when you level up you get duel rewards.
Some of the rewards are duel skills that fit the characters theme but can be used in any manor you wish on whatever deck you build. Yugi’s deck skills typically have to do with his spells or dark monsters, Joey’s deck skills pay high priority to his monsters and attack boosts.
So just keep playing your characters and leveling them up. You’ll have a nice chunk of duel skills in no time and you’ll be able to tell which ones work best for you.

[Titan Showdown] Whichever player has double or more LP than the other takes double battle damage. |
