PlayStation had already given us a comprehensive look at Hogwarts Legacy last week, but it looks like we have more to see from this highly-anticipated Wizarding game. Just in, we have a behind-the-scenes look that has the devs talking about what it takes to deliver a AAA Potter experience.
Watch this:
While the movies have a very concrete look and feel for the Wizarding World, the game developers have decided to look into the books and make a product that feels like a ‘perfect handshake’ between the two. Though we get iconic locations from the film like the Great Hall, book readers will love seeing that Hogwarts kitchen for the first time or another more book-accurate take on the Chamber of Secrets.
I thought it would have been better if we got a solid canon story for the Wizarding World with a new protagonist, but I realized it limits players from fully exploring the world. With the books being secret mystery novels, I hope this game also has that in spirit when it comes to the narrative. I am curious, though, why does the main character come in on his fifth year?
Become the student you have always wanted to be as you experience life at Hogwarts and embark on a journey through the wizarding world. Discover magical beasts, craft potions, and master spell casting as you uncover the mystery of Ancient Magic.
No release date has been set for Hogwarts Legacy, but the game is expected to come out this holiday season for all major platforms like the PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
