One of the most celebrated exclusives to come to the PlayStation was Horizon Zero Dawn, and developers Guerrilla Games are ready to release the sequel Horizon Forbidden West next month. Just in, we have a new story trailer featuring Aloy, her new mission, and the new allies she will make in her journey.

Aloy is On a Mission in New Story Trailer for Horizon Forbidden West

Watch this:

Besides old companions like Varl and Erend, the trailer also gives us a look at some new incoming characters, both friends and enemies. We have a new tribe in the form of the Tenakth, and the trailer ends with the only person who actually does look like she’s from the future.

Of course, this wouldn’t be Horizon without the animal/machines, and Forbidden West offers a new variety of creatures for Aloy to discover. While the first game mostly had the creatures hostile, it would be great if this sequel actually featured some more docile animals. With Aloy’s use of the machines being very rare to the world in the first game, it would be great to see some people who also know how to control the machines but not for war; I mean, of course there are going to be some war mongers, but maybe there’s a tribe who knows how to harness the machines in a way that Aloy can’t… yet.

Here’s the official game overview:

The land is dying. Vicious storms and an unstoppable blight ravage the scattered remnants of humanity, while fearsome new machines prowl their borders. Life on Earth is hurtling towards another extinction, and no one knows why.

It’s up to Aloy to uncover the secrets behind these threats and restore order and balance to the world. Along the way, she must reunite with old friends, forge alliances with warring new factions and unravel the legacy of the ancient past – all the while trying to stay one step ahead of a seemingly undefeatable new enemy.

Horizon Forbidden West comes to the PS5 on Feb. 18.
