The long-awaited Pokemon Legends: Arceus has finally been released! The new game was released last January 28, 2022, and it introduced a different kind of playing and way of exploring the world of Pokemon. The game is set in the past in the Hisui Region, which they called the Sinnoh region when it was discovered. And with that, the game has a special surprise for players who pre-ordered or purchased the game early!
Mystery Gift!
The surprise for players may be received in the form of Mystery Gifts. However, the Mystery Gift function is not available at the get-go. To unlock the Mystery Gift function, you must first complete the tutorial on how to catch Pokemon in the game, and you must have a total of 500 Research Task Points, which you can obtain by going to Professor Laventon in the Base Camp. After meeting these requirements, go to Jubilife Village and talk to Captain Cyllene. She will give you a promotion, and you can finally access the Mystery Gift function on your menu!
It is important to note that using the Mystery Gift feature requires an internet connection, but it does not need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
Once you have the Mystery Gift feature, open it, and you will receive a Baneful Fox Mask, Hisuian Growlithe Kimono Top, and Hisuian Growlithe Kimono Bottom! To equip these new items, go to your home and interact with the Mirror to wear the latest outfits!
As mentioned above, these items are exclusive to players who have pre-ordered or purchased the game early. So, if you want these items and do not have the game yet, you still have time! New players can still avail of these Mystery Gift items until May 9, 2022, at 4:59 p.m. PDT (which, to be honest, is still a lot of time), so run to your favorite video game store and buy yourself a copy of the new Pokemon Legends: Arceus and start catching them all!
