Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in the old times in the Pokemon world at a time when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the land of the Hisui region, known as the Sinnoh region in modern times, you will join the Galaxy Expedition Team (or just Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every species of Pokémon from the Hisui region to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.
The Galaxy Team will task the player to do missions in the game. Additionally, various people will also ask for help from the player in requests. One of these requests is Request 23, titled ‘Getting Ahold of New Wares.’ This guide will teach you how to complete the ‘Getting Ahold of New Wares’ request.
Getting Ahold of New Wares
To unlock this request, the player must first unlock the ‘Arezu’s Predicament’ mission (the eighth mission in the game), where the player will have to quell the Lady of the Ridge Liligant’s frenzy.
Upon receiving the ‘Arezu’s Predicament’ mission, head to the General Store just across the entrance of the Galaxy Hall and talk to Choy. He will then tell the player that Tao Hua refuses to provide him with any new items to sell, and so he will ask the player’s help to persuade Tao Hua by bringing him some Hearty Grains as a token of goodwill.
To complete the ‘Getting Ahold of New Wares’ request, the player must bring three Hearty Grains to Tao Hua. Now it is time to find some Hearty Grains!
Hearty Grains can be found and obtained by destroying haystacks in Crimson Mirelands. To do this, you would need the help of your Pokemon. Aim and throw one of your Pokemon to a haystack then your Pokemon will strike the haystack to harvest the Hearty Grains. The selected Pokemon will also gain experience in helping out.
Aside from being in haystacks, Hearty Grains can also be planted on the ground around Crimson Mirelands and Coronet Highlands.
Alternatively, he can purchase Hearty Grains for 200 Pokemon Dollars in the Craftworks (after it is added to his wares) by talking to Anvin.
After obtaining three Hearty Grains, go back to Jubilife Village and head to the Galaxy Hall. Head to the basement and go inside the room to see an old man wearing green clothes and a pair of glasses named Tao Hua. He is standing near the center desks with the flags. Talk to Tao Hua, and he will recognize you as the member of the Survey Corps who quelled the Lord of the Wood’s frenzy. He will tell you that he has nothing to sell to Choy and his store and reject you at first. But, after giving him the three Hearty Grains you obtained earlier, he will start a monologue of how great Hearty Grains are then he will agree to set Choy up with some new wares.
After that interaction, go out of the Galaxy Hall and head back to Choy in the General Store. Talk to him, and he will tell you that they now have new goods to sell which you can buy after talking to him!
Now that you have completed the ‘Getting Ahold of New Wares’ Request, you can try to complete other requests, complete missions, or complete Arceus’ task for you, which is to catch ’em all!
