VALORANT: Neptune Skin Bundle and 4.10 Patch Notes

It has not been too long ago when the VALORANT team teased content related to an aquarium, the ocean, or the sea.

We previously speculated that the Tweet below from the VALORANT official Twitter page pointed towards some important lore reveal regarding VALORANT’s 8th map. However, that does not seem like the case at all. At least for now.

VALORANT has officially announced the Neptune weapon skin bundle today, May 25th, and it looks nothing short of spectacular.

The Neptune bundle features an all-new aquarium-themed design for the Knife, Shorty, Spectre, Guardian, and the Vandal. Players have two color schemes to choose from – White or Black.

In addition, each weapon skin has its mini-aquarium design going on, and a closer look reveals that the design elements are dynamic and feature their animations. Neat!

Like all VALORANT bundles, the Neptune skin bundle will only stick around for a short while. So players who would want to get their hands on these Waterworld aquarium-themed skins must act fast.

Patch 4.10 Update Patch Notes

Along with the Neptune skin bundle reveal, VALORANT will receive Patch 4.10 today, May 25th. Here are the changes:

Agent Updates

The Agent Progress bar has been given a nice polish to make it look more consistent between the following Agents.

  • Reyna,
  • Cypher,
  • Breach,
  • Fade,
  • Jett,
  • Omen,
  • Phoenix,
  • Raze,
  • Skye,
  • Yoru.

On the other hand, Omen was given a model update to increase model detail.

  • Updated 3P model to increase detail and fidelity.

Map Updates

Haven

Some important spots around Haven have been updated to remove skill jumps and other player collision elements.

  • Removed some pixel collision in the following areas:
    • Can no longer walk up the front of A site cover.
    • Can no longer jump onto the top of the C site cover without a boost ability.

Gameplay Systems

Shooting Error

For Patch 4.10, Riot Games added a new Shooting Error graph that players can use to diagnose where their shots landed.

Riot Games says this new feature uses the same information as the firing error option in the crosshair settings but can now be viewed with numerical data instead of the rudimentary visual spread indicator.

Alt-Tab Lag/Ping Spikes Fix

  • Fixed an issue where ping or framerate spikes could cause an excessive move processing buffer to develop and persist for multiple seconds. While this was happening, you may have experienced:
    • Increased Server-side input latency could make inputs take longer to be applied than expected based on your ping.
    • Additional delay in viewing other players could give you less time to react.
    • The additional latencies were not reflected in the current “Network RTT Avg/Max” graph or in-game scoreboard ping values.
  • Added a new Performance graph showing “Network RTT Jitter” to help you understand if you’re experiencing network issues not reflected in the Network RTT Avg/Max values
  • Added a new Performance graph, “Network RTT + Processing Delays,” which captures the effective latency you experience due to Network Round Trip Time, Server move processing, and Client processing delays.

Bugs

Agents

  • Some “Destroyed” voice lines were previously inaudible to an Agent’s other teammates. Riot Games has fixed all of these and has made all “Destroyed” voice lines globally audible.
    • Chamber: Trademark and Rendezvous;
    • Killjoy: Turret and Alarmbot;
    • Cypher: Trapwire and Spycam;
    • Yoru: Gatecrash;

Other changes include Neon’s High Gear, observer visual bug fixes for Viper’s Pit and Chamber’s Rendezvous, and Brimstone’s Molly damage tick rate.

Cosmetics

  • Fixed Protocol bundle visual flickering and inspecting, ADS-ing, reloading.

Gameplay Systems

Riot Games has fixed keybind errors and the dreaded combat report visual error for other gameplay fixes where it refuses to show up for an entire game.

Fixed and Updated

VALORANT fans will waste no time running to their in-game store to grab the awesome Neptune bundle. The aquarium-themed skin bundle is a welcome addition and a breath of fresh air from the usual industrial-looking weapon skins released recently.

On the other hand, the Patch 4.10 update has finally addressed problems bugging VALORANT players for the longest time now. While it took Riot Games a while to fix these issues (the combat report especially,) most of these gremlins are finally fixed in the Patch 4.10 update.

May 25th has been a great day for VALORANT fans. We can not wait to see where VALORANT goes from here. Read the Patch 4.10 Changelog in detail from Riot Games themselves.
