Drive away those pesky campers with these Fade lineups for Attacking on Icebox.

VALORANT: Best Fade Lineups on Icebox (Attacking)

Icebox will be one of the more challenging maps to play in VALORANT. We have mentioned it in every Icebox guide here at PlayerAssist before – Icebox’s excessive verticality makes it mechanically more challenging than flatter-surface maps such as Breeze.

No thanks to Icebox’s claustrophobia-inducing layout, the tight corners that flank either of the two bomb sites will make it very difficult for the Attacking team to gain any significant space without good recon or info.

This is where Fade, the newest Initiator Agent, comes in.

We will show you the best Fade lineups that you can use to reveal players around A-site, B-site, and Icebox Middle so your team can enter any of these lanes safely.

How to Use Fade’s Haunt Ability?

image 342

Pressing the [E] button on your keyboard will equip Fade’s Haunt ability – a cooldown-based recon ability that can reveal and mark enemy locations exposed by its “watcher.”

Fade Haunt Ability Details:

  • Duration: 2 seconds;
  • Cooldown: 40 seconds;
  • Health: 1 HP;
  • Effects: Reveals enemies caught in the ability line of sight. Enemies caught in the line of sight will be Trailed for 12 seconds.

After Fade equips her Haunt ability, she can throw the Haunt orb towards a target location. After landing, a ‘watcher’ will spawn and linger for 2 seconds and reveal anyone along its line of sight.

Fade can opt to immediately drop the orb mid-air to activate the ‘watcher’ sooner by pressing the [E] button again.

Haunt can stick and clip onto just about any horizontal surface around maps, making Fade’s Haunt a lineup-friendly ability that can be thrown towards strategic locations for early information.

Lastly, since Haunt is a cooldown-based ability, it is best to use it early in the round so that the 40-second cooldown can start counting down, which allows the user to equip Haunt again later in the round.

Icebox A-site Best Fade Lineup (Attacking)

Thanks to Fade’s Haunt ability, clearing A-site should be a walk.

This lineup will all players lurking around A-site’s back area, so you or your teammates can plan the Spike safely.

This Fade lineup will reveal most of the A-site Default and A-Backsite.

  1. Stand along the middle of this line below A-Nest:

2. It is a little difficult to see from A- Nest, but aim just below this white line:

When done properly, Fade’s Haunt Ability should tuck in nicely within the cracks on the wall:

Icebox Middle Best Fade Lineup (Attacking)

The Attacking team can use Icebox Middle control to initiate a double-entry for either A-site or B-site.

However, the Defending team will always have the more advantageous position at Middle Boiler, which will deny the Attacking team’s entry intro B-Orange or A-Screen.

This Fade Haunt lineup should clear out Mid Boiler and trail any Defender caught in Haunt’s line of sight.

This Fade lineup will reveal all areas around Mid Boiler.

  1. Stand in the middle of these intersecting lines at Middle:

2. Use the edge of the white paint on the container as a guide. Aim just above its right edge horizontally, Place your crosshair on the snow pile on top of the blue container.

When done properly, Haunt should land on top of the beige container van at Middle Boiler:

Icebox B-site Best Fade Lineup (Attacking)

B-Green is not as difficult to push out as an Attacker anymore as Riot Games has widened the B-Green lanes in a previous update. We can save Fade’s Haunt charge to clear other areas on B-site instead.

With that out of the way, we can focus more on clearing out the B-Orange area so you or your teammates can plant the Spike safely at B-Default.

This Fade lineup will reveal most of the B-Orange area and some of B-Yellow and B-Kitchen.

  1. Align yourself with this small line on the green container van at B-Green:

2. Aim for the upper left corner of the first black caution strip from the right:

The Cold Never Bothered Fade Anyway

Admittedly, there are a ton of other lineups that you can use around Icebox. Nevertheless, the ones we have featured here are some of the most reliable, repeatable, and cover the most areas around A-site, B-site, and Middle, making them the best Fade Haunt lineups for Icebox when playing on the Attacking side.

So, there we have it! For more VALORANT guides like this one, check out the VALORANT section at the PlayerAssist website, where tons of other VALORANT guides await!
