Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in olden times in the Pokemon world when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in Hisui, modern-day Sinnoh, you’ll join the Galaxy Expedition Team (Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every species of Pokémon from the Hisui region to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.
In the game, there are certain Pokemon that have special requirements for them to evolve. One of these Pokemon is Lickitung, and in this guide, you will learn how to evolve Lickitung into a Lickilicky!
Lickitung into Lickilicky
Lickilicky is a Normal type Licking Pokemon with a pink and round body, three curved yellow lines on its belly, a white pattern above that that looks like a bib, a small tail, a long tongue, and a curled appendage on top of its head that looks like hair. According to its Pokedex entry in the game, Lickilicky’s tongue can freely extend and contract, and it can reach lengths of over ten times Lickilicky’s height. Additionally, Lickilicky’s saliva contains corrosive elements.
Lickilicky can actually be found in the Crimson Mirelands (northwest of Shrouded Ruins) and in the Alabaster Icelands (in Avalanche Slopes). Lickilicky can be found in this location at all times of the day and in every weather condition.
It is worth noting that the Lickilicky that can be found northwest of Shrouded Ruins in the Crimson Mirelands is a Level 52 Alpha Pokemon. Aside from that, Lickilicky may also be found in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Crimson Mirelands and the Alabaster Icelands.
An alternative for catching a Lickilicky is through evolution. To do that, the player must evolve a Lickitung after learning to move Rollout. First, the player should know where to find a Lickitung.
Lickitung
The player can also find a Lickitung in the Crimson Mirelands (north of Shrouded Ruins and north of Scarlet Bog) and in the Alabaster Icelands (in Snowfall Hot Spring and in Avalanche Slopes). Lickitung can be found in these locations at all times of the day and in every weather condition. Aside from that, Lickitung can be found in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Crimson Mirelands and the Alabaster Icelands.
If you plan on distracting it with food before catching it, it is worth mentioning that Lickitung’s preferred foods are Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans.
Suppose you plan on battling a Lickitung first before catching it. In that case, it is worth noting that Lickitung is a Normal-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Fighting-type moves (super effective) and immunity to Ghost-type moves (no effect).
Rollout
Now that the player has caught a Lickitung, one of the methods to evolve a Lickitung to a Lickilicky is by letting the Lickitung learn Rollout.
Rollout is a Rock-type physical move where the Pokemon who is using the move will roll towards the opposing Pokemon to deal damage then the user will become fixated on using this move.
Lickitung will learn the move Rollout when Lickitung reaches Level 34. The player can level up Lickitung by battling against other Pokemon, using Rare Candies, and using Exp. Candies.
Once Lickitung has learned Rollout, the player should equip the move to the Pokemon’s move set. To do that, this is what the player must do:
- First, press the up-directional button to open the player’s Satchel.
- Then, select Lickitung in the player’s party, which is on the right side of the Satchel.
- Next, on the prompt, select ‘Change moves.’
- After that, select ‘Rollout’ on the unequipped moves on the left side, then select a move on Lickitung’s move on the right side to replace Rollout.
- Next, press the X button to confirm the change, then confirm on the prompt that you are happy with the new move set.
After that, Lickitung can now use Rollout in battle!
Finally, Lickilicky!
After catching a Lickitung and letting it learn Rollout, the player can now evolve a Lickitung into a Lickilicky! To do that, this is what the player must do:
- If it is not already there, put the player’s Lickitung in the Player’s party by talking to the Galaxy Member near the tent on any of the Base Camps and selecting “I want to see my Pokemon” on the prompt or heading to the Pastures in the eastern part of Jubilife Village.
- Then, return to the game and press the up-directional button to open the player’s Satchel.
- Select the player’s Lickitung, which has a glowing Poke Ball beside its name, indicating that the Pokemon is ready to evolve. Select Evolve on the prompt, and confirm on the next prompt to evolve Lickitung, and just like that, Lickitung will evolve into a Lickilicky!
Now that the player has a Lickilicky, the player can try to use the Lickilicky to complete other requests, missions, or Arceus’ task for the player, which is to catch ‘em all!
