When humans and Pokémon did not coexist peacefully, the events of Pokemon Legends: Arceus took place in the early years of the Pokemon universe. The region of the Pokemon universe where this game is set, Hisui, will later be changed to Sinnoh. To finish Hisui’s first Pokédex, which is used to learn about Pokémon, the player must catch each and every one of them in this region. The player will be given a position in the Survey Corps of the Galaxy Expedition Team’s Jubilife Village (commonly known as the Galaxy Team), which is in charge of studying the local Pokemon.
In this guide, we will learn everything you need to know about Kricketune!
Kricketune
Kricketune, the 40th Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Bug-type Cricket Pokemon with a mostly red body that resembles an insect, a pair of oval eyes, a round and dark red nose, two antennae with round centers and long, thin tips, two small feet, oval markings on its abdomen, a light brown line running from its neck to its belly, a light brown marking on its underside, a dark red marking above it, arms that resemble its antennae, and a pair of black feelers. According to its Pokedex entry in the game, Kricketune produces sound with its cutlass-like arms with a distinct melody depending on the Kricketune.
Basic Information
Kricketune is a Bug-type Pokemon which means it has a weakness to Fire-type, Flying-type, and Rock-type moves (super effective) and resistance to Fighting-type, Grass-type, and Ground-type moves (not very effective).
Kricketune’s base stats are 77 HP, 85 Attack, 51 Defense, 55 Special Attack, 51 Special Defense, and 65 Speed, for a total of 384.
Kricketune evolved from a Kricketot when it reached Level 10.
If the player wants to lure Kricketune with food before catching it, it prefers Springy Mushrooms, Dazzling Honey, Hearty Grains, and Plump Beans.
When a Kricketune is beaten or caught, an Apricorn and a Spoiled Apricorn are given.
Location
Kricketune can be found in the following locations:
Obsidian Fieldlands: around Nature’s Pantry.
Crimson Mirelands: in the Golden Lowlands, west of Gapejaw Bog, in Solaceon Ruins, in Cloudpool Ridge.
The Kricketune can be found in these locations at all times of the day and in every weather condition.
An Alpha Kricketune is found west of Tidewater Dam (southwest of Nature’s Pantry or southeast of Windswept Run) in the Obsidian Fieldlands.
It can also be found in this location at all times of the day and in every weather condition. The Alpha Kricketune that can be found in this area is Level 30.
Aside from that, the player can find Kricketune in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Obsidian Fieldlands and the Crimson Mirelands.
Research Tasks
The following are the Research Tasks in Kricketune’s Pokedex entry:
Multiplier | Research Task | Objectives |
x2 | Number caught | 1/3/6/12/25 |
Number of alpha specimens caught | 1/2/3
x2 | Number you’ve caught without being spotted | 1/2/5/10/20 |
Number defeated | 1/2/4/10/15
Times you’ve seen it use Slash | 1/3/6/12/25
x2 | Times you’ve seen it use X-Scissor | 1/3/6/12/25 |
Times you’ve given it food | 1/3/5/7/10
Number of different forms you’ve obtained | 2 |
The player must complete an objective for a specific Research Task to raise a Kricketune’s Research Level by one, aside from objectives with a multiplier of x2, which boosts two Research Levels for finishing one. For Kricketune’s entry in the Pokedex to be complete, the player must reach Research Level 10.
To quickly complete Kricketune’s Pokedex entry, the player can catch six Kricketunes, which will tick the first, second, and third objective of the “number caught” Research Task to add six Research Levels thanks to the x2 multiplier, and make sure that at least two of them are caught without the player being spotted, which will tick the first and second objective of the “times you’ve caught without being spotted” Research Task to add four Research Levels thanks also to the x2 multipliers, to reach Research Level 10.
