Pokemon Legends: Arceus Ultimate Dustox Guide

In the early years of the Pokemon universe, when humans and Pokémon were anything but allies, is when Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set.

The Hisui region of the Pokemon universe—before it was renamed the Sinnoh region—is the setting for this game where the Galaxy Expedition Team, also known as the Galaxy Team, in Jubilife Village, which is in charge of researching the local Pokemon, will assign the player to the Survey Corps.

To finish Hisui’s first Pokédex, which is used to learn about Pokémon, the player must capture every one of them in this region.

This guide will discuss everything you need to know about Dustox in Pokemon Legends: Arceus!

Dustox

Dustox, the 22nd Pokemon in the Hisuian Pokedex, is a Bug and Poison-type Poison Moth Pokemon with a purple body that is shaped like an egg and looks like that of a moth’s, a pair of yellow, peculiar eyes with black circles, a small mouth, two pairs of red, stubby limbs, a couple of yellow segmented antennae on top of its head, a segmented body, a jagged bottom part of its body, two pairs of green wings that are shaped like a disc with red rings and streaks and with dark green outer edges, the upper pair of wings being larger, and the lower pair being smaller.

According to its Pokedex entry in the game, Dustox tends to be drawn to bonfires they find on nights, and it is hard to chase them away from settlements as they scatter highly toxic scales in their path.

Basic Information

Dustox is a Bug and Poison-type Pokemon, which means it has a weakness to Fire-type, Flying-type, Psychic-type, and Rock-type moves (super effective) and resistance to the Bug-type, Fairy-type, Poison-type, and especially Fighting-type and Grass-type moves (not very effective).

Dustox’s base stats are 60 HP, 50 Attack, 70 Defense, 50 Special Attack, 90 Special Defense, and 65 Speed, for a total of 385.

Dustox can be evolved from a Cascoon once it reaches Level 10, which is evolved from a Wurmple once it reaches Level 7. Wurmple can evolve into either a Silcoon or a Cascoon, and it is decided randomly, so there is no assurance or hint as to which one the Wurmple will evolve into.

It is worth mentioning that Dustox likes springy mushrooms, dazzling honey, hearty grains, and plump beans, which would help if the player chooses to feed it food to distract it before catching it.

The player will receive a Spoiled Apricorn and a Dazzling Honey after defeating or catching a Dustox.

Location

Dustox can be found in the following locations in Pokemon Legends: Arceus:

In the Obsidian Fieldlands: Grueling Grove, the Floaro Gardens, and The Heartwood.

Dustox can be found in the areas mentioned above in every weather condition but only at night (nightfall).

Also, Dustox can be found in Massive Mass Outbreaks in the Obsidian Fieldlands.

Research Tasks

The following are the Research Tasks in Dustox’s Pokedex entry:

MultiplierResearch TaskObjectives
x2Number caught1/2/4/10/15
Times you have seen it use a strong style move1/2/5/10/20
Number defeated1/3/6/12/25
The number you have defeated with Psychic type moves1/2/4/10/15
x2Times you have seen it use Poison Powder1/3/6/12/25
x2Times you have seen it use a strong style move1/3/6/12/25
Number of different forms you’ve obtained2

The player can raise a Pokemon’s entry’s Research Level by completing an objective for a Research Task. On the other hand, completing a Research Task objective with an x2 multiplier will raise two Research Levels. The player must allow a Pokemon to advance to Research Level 10 to complete its Pokedex entry.

To quickly complete Dustox’s Pokedex entry, the player must catch five Dustox at night, which ticks the first, second, and third objectives of the “number caught” and “number caught at night” Research Entries to raise the Research Level to 9 thanks to the first one’s x2 multiplier, and make sure among those caught is at least one male and one female Dustox, which ticks the objective of the “Number of different forms you’ve obtained” Research Task to add one last Research Level, to reach Research Level 10.
