How To Get All New Spells in Lords of the Fallen

In a world of challenges and adversaries, the key to victory could be using the right spell. Thanks to game updates, the player can acquire new spells to use! This guide will walk you through how to get all the new spells in Lords of the Fallen.

We will discuss the new spells from each new update so far. Unlocking these new spells becomes rewarding with strategic exploration, competent combat abilities, and a keen eye for hidden knowledge. This will enhance the player’s capabilities and shape the course of the player’s journey.

As of writing this guide (December 2023), the developers of Lords of the Fallen have released only two spell packs through the game updates. The new spell packs are the following:

Spell Pack #1

The first spell pack is included in “The Way of the Bucket” update for Lords of the Fallen. This update is version 1.1.348 and was released on the 21st of November, 2023. The spell pack of this update contains six new spells for Lords of the Fallen: the Vortex of Torment, The Tolling, the Blistering Salvo, the Rising Fire, the Pallid Bile, and the Septic Heave. Before this update, only enemies could cast all six of these spells. Let us get to know each of these spells and learn how to get them:

Vortex of Torment

The Vortex of Torment is one of the two new Radiant Spells from “The Way of the Bucket” update. This spell allows the player to summon a cyclone that will deal Physical Damage, bleeding, and smite buildup to enemies. When casting this spell, it costs the player 100 points of Mana.

The player must have a Radiance stat of at least 25 points to use the Vortex of Torment spell. Additionally, the player must also wield a Radiance Catalyst. There are a total of six Radiant Catalysts in the game. These are the following: the Orian Preacher Catalyst, the Agony’s Light, the Wilmarc’s Catalyst, the Abbess Chalice, the Exacter Scripture, and the Radiant Purifier Catalyst.

How to Get

Assuming the player has already updated their Lords of the Fallen to at least the update version 1.1.348, the player can get the Vortex of Torment spell as a drop from the Scourged Sister enemy. The player will be able to find the Scourged Sister enemy in the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters area and the Pilgrim’s Perch area. The first one, the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters, is an excellent spot to farm for the Vortex of Torment spell.

As it is a random drop from this enemy, the player may have to defeat a few or many Scourged Sister enemies to get the Vortex of Torment spell drop. However, the Vortex of Torment spell is not an extremely rare drop, so the player may immediately get this spell.

To get the Vortex of Torment spell, the player must do the following:

  1. First, the player must start at the Vestige of Rosamund in the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters area. From here, the player must proceed towards the open arch behind the vestige. Here, the player must head up a flight of stairs to the left.
  2. After that, at the top, the player must head to the right to go up another flight of stairs. At the top of these stairs, the player must continue up narrow stairs on the left. Here, the player will encounter a couple of enemies. One of them is a Scourged Sister enemy, so the player can try their luck and eliminate it to see if it will drop the Vortex of Torment spell. If not, then continue.
  3. Then, on top of the stairs, the player must head to the right, where another small, narrow set of stairs is. Go up this flight of stairs where the player will face an enemy. At the top, the player must follow the path of the balcony on the left and then up another flight of stairs on the right. On top, the player will pass through an arch that leads inside a building.
  4. The player must continue on this path and up another small set of stairs. The player will again face an enemy on this path. The player will find a doorway on the left near the end of the path and before another set of stairs. The player must pass through this doorway and head down another flight of stairs. Midway through the stairs, the player can find an Umbral Flowerbed to plant a seed. The player may have to use the Umbral Lamp to find the Umbral Flowerbed.
  5. Afterward, once the player has planted a seed, the player can use this to rest if the Scourged Sister enemies do not drop the Vortex of Torment spell. Rest here and try to eliminate the enemies again. The player must then head back up the flight of stairs and go towards the path on the right to head back to where the player came from.
  6. Here, the player must head down several stairs to reach the balcony. Again, head back down the stairs ahead on the left. Once that is done, the player will reach an open area with many red and leaves on the ground. Here, the player will face a few Scourged Sister enemies. The player can try eliminating these Scourged Sister enemies to see if it will drop the Vortex of Torment spell.
  7. Then, if these enemies do not drop the Vortex of Torment spell, the player can head back up towards the Umbral Flowerbed, but instead of going down towards it, continue through the open gate ahead. Once through, the player must head up another set of stairs. At the top, the player must again go up the flight of stairs on the left, where the player will face a Scourge Sister enemy. The player can try to eliminate this Scourged Sister to see if it will drop the Vortex of Torment Spell. If still not, then continue.
  8. After that, the player can head back down the stairs and return to the Umbral Flowerbed. Continue heading down the flight of stairs and another set on the right. The player will arrive in a large courtyard area. Here, the player must find the insides of the building in the top right corner of the area. Once here, the player will find another set of stairs. Head up this flight of stairs and, at the top, exit the structure through the arch ahead.
  9. Then, once outside again, the player must head up another set of stairs ahead on the left and another flight ahead on the left again. On top of the stairs, the player will find another Scourged Sister enemy. The player can try eliminating this enemy again to see if it will drop the Vortex of Torment spell.

The Tolling

The Tolling spell is the other new Radiant spell in the “The Way of the Bucket” update. With The Tolling spell, the player can release a wave of Radiant magic. This spell physically damages enemies and can knock enemies down if The Tolling spell hits. The Tolling spell has a Mana cost of 60 when the player casts it.

To use The Tolling spell, the player must have a Radiance stat of at least 30 points. Also, the player must use a Radiance Catalyst. In total, there are six Radiant Catalysts in the game. The Orian Preacher Catalyst, Agony’s Light, Wilmarc’s Catalyst, Abbess Chalice, Exacter Scripture, and Radiant Purifier Catalyst are among them.

How to Get

The player will be able to get The Tolling spell as a drop for defeating the Receiver of Sacred Resonance enemy. This assumes that the player has already updated Lords of the Fallen to at least version 1.1.348. The player will be able to find the Receiver of Sacred Resonance enemies in the following locations: in the Revelation Depths area, in the Manse of the Hallowed Brothers area, in the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters area, in the Tower of Penance area, and the Pilgrim’s Perch area. However, heading to the Manse of the Hallowed Brothers area is recommended to try and farm The Tolling spell.

Because this spell is a chance drop from this enemy, the player may need to eliminate some or a lot of receivers of Sacred Resonance enemies to obtain the Tolling spell drop. On the other hand, the Tolling spell is not a particularly rare drop, so the player may receive it right away.

The player must execute the following to try and find The Tolling Spell:

  1. To begin, the player must visit the Vestige of Rosamund in the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters. The player must proceed to the open arch just ahead of the vestige. The player must proceed up and to the left through the stairs.
  2. Then, at the top, the player must turn right to ascend another flight of stairs. The player will come across a couple of enemies here. From here, the player has to go up some more narrow sets of stairs on the left after reaching the top of these stairs.
  3. Next, at the top of the stairs, the player must proceed to the right, where there is an additional small and narrow set of stairs. Ascend this flight of stairs, where the player will come face to face with an enemy. Following the path of the balcony on the left, the player must ascend another flight of stairs on the right. On the way up, the player will pass through an arch that leads into a building.
  4. After that, the player must continue on this path and ascend another small set of stairs. On this path, the player will face another foe. The player will find a doorway on the left before the open gate at the end of the path. After passing through this doorway, the player must go down another flight of stairs. The player will find an Umbral Flowerbed halfway down the stairs where they can plant a seed. The player may need to use the Umbral Lam to find the Umbral Flowerbedp. The player can plant a seed here to rest if the Receiver of Sacred Resonance enemies do not drop The Tolling spell.
  5. Following that, once the player has planted a seed, the player must continue heading down the flight of stairs and another set of stairs on the right. The player will arrive in a large courtyard area. Here, the player must head towards the left side of the area, and here, the player will find a Receiver of Sacred Resonance enemy. The player can now eliminate this enemy and see if it will drop The Tolling spell.

Blistering Salvo

Courtesy of Ninja Pups

The Blistering Salvo spell is one of the two new Inferno Spells in “The Way to the Bucket” Update. The player can use this spell to summon projectiles that look like darts. These projectiles will then deal Fire damage and inflict Burn buildup on enemies. Casting the Blistering Salvo spell will cost the player 25 points of Mana.

To use the Blistering Salvo spell, the player must have an Inferno stat of at least 18 points. Apart from that, the player must also have an Inferno Catalyst. In total, there are six Inferno Catalysts in the game. These are the following: the Pyric Cultist Catalyst, the Searing Accusation, the Rhogar Heart, the Lord Catalyst, the Miranda’s Touch, and the Queen Sophesia’s Catalyst.

How to Get

The player will be able to get the Blistering Salvo spell as a drop for killing the Proselyte enemy. This presumes the player has updated their Lords of the Fallen copy to version 1.1.348 or higher. The player will be able to find the Proselyte enemies in the following locations: in the Abandoned Redcopse area, in the Skyrest Bridge area, in the Fitzroy’s Gorge area, in the Lower Calrath area, in the Upper Calrath area, in the Sunless Skein area, in the Cistern area, in the Bramis Castle area, and the Defiled Sepulchre area.

Because obtaining this spell relies on randomly dropping from a specific enemy, the player might have to eliminate many Proselyte enemies to obtain the Blistering Salvo spell drop. However, the Blistering Salvo spell is not considered a rare drop, so the player may also be able to obtain it immediately.

As mentioned, the player can find the Proselyte enemy in many areas. However, for this method we are about to walk you through, we will take on one of the first few Proselyte enemies the player finds in the game. With this, the player can get the Blistering Salvo spell early in the game. To find a Proselyte enemy and get the Blistering Salvo spell, the player must do the following:

  1. First, the player must start from the Vestige of Marco the Axe in the Redcopse Windmill area in the Abandoned Redcopse area. From here, the player must follow the path on the left, where the player will find another divided path. Here, the player must take the path on the right.
  2. After that, the player must keep following this path around. At the end of the path, the player will face a couple of enemies. Here, the player must take the path on the left.
  3. Following that, the player will pass through an arch while following this path. Once through, the player will find wooden objects on the left. Destroy these wooden objects to find an opening to a path.
  4. Then, the player must pass through this opening and follow the path on the left. Here, the player will find a Proselyte enemy. The place can now try eliminating this enemy to see if it will drop the Blistering Salvo spell.

Rising Fire

The Rising Fire spell is the other new Inferno spell in “The Way of the Bucket” update of Lords of the Fallen. With this new spell, the player can create orbs of fire that cause Fire damage and inflict Burn buildup on enemies. The Rising Fire spell has a Mana cost of 40 when the player uses or casts it.

To use the Rising Fire spell, the player must have an Inferno stat of at least 22 points. Furthermore, the player must have an Inferno Catalyst. There are a total of six Inferno Catalysts in the game. The Pyric Cultist Catalyst, the Searing Accusation, the Rhogar Heart, the Lord Catalyst, the Miranda’s Touch, and the Queen Sophesia’s Catalyst are among them.

How to Get

The player can get the Rising Fire spell as a drop for killing the enemy of the Infernal Enchantress. This assumes the player has updated Lords of the Fallen to version 1.1.348 or higher.  The player will be able to find the Infernal Enchantress enemies in the following locations: in the Upper Calrath area, in the Lower Calrath area, and the Bramis Castle area. Out of all of these locations, however, it is recommended to try defeating an Infernal Enchantress enemy in the Upper Calrath area before the area where the player finds the Spurned Progeny.

Because obtaining this spell depends on randomly dropping from a specific enemy, the player may need to eliminate many Infernal Enchantress enemies to obtain the Rising Fire spell drop. However, because the Rising Fire spell is not regarded as a rare drop, the player may be able to get it right away.

As mentioned, it is advised to attempt defeating an Infernal Enchantress enemy in the Upper Calrath region. To do that, the player must do the following:

  1. First, the player must start from the Vestige of Doln in the Upper Calrath Mining District in the Upper Calrath area. From here, the player must follow the path on the right and pass through the next open arch.
  2. Following that, the player will reach the area outside once through the open arch. Here, the player must continue on the path and take the next path on the left. Pass through another arch and head up a small flight of stairs on the left. From here, the player must then take the path on the right.
  3. Then, the player must take the next path on the right and pass through an arch where the player will encounter an enemy. Once through, the player must then take the path on the left. While on this path, the player will face an enemy. At the end of the path, take the path on the left and down the stairs to find an Umbral Flowerbed. With this, the player can plant a seed. If the Infernal Enchantress enemy does not drop the Rising Fire spell, the player can head back here instead of to the Vestige. The player can rest here and try to defeat the enemy of the Infernal Enchantress again to see if it will drop the Rising Fire spell.
  4. After that, once the player has planted a seed, the player must continue going down the stairs. Continue on the path through the rubble and follow the path through the bridge. After the bridge, the player must then follow the next path on the right. This path is a ramp that leads down.
  5. Next, the player will face an enemy of Infernal Enchantress in this area. Now, the player can try eliminating this enemy to see if it will drop the Rising Fire spell.

Pallid Bile

The details of the Pallid Bile spell.
Courtesy of Ninja Pups

The Pallid Bile spell is one of the two new Umbral Spells from “The Way of the Bucket” update in Lords of the Fallen. The player can use the Pallid Bile spell to unleash Umbral Magic. If this spell hits, the Pallid Bile spell deals Wither damage and Poison buildup to enemies. Using the Pallid Bile spell does not cost the player any Mana.

To use the Pallid Bile spell, the player must have an Inferno stat of at least 15 points and a Radiance stat of at least 15. Furthermore, the player must have an Umbral Catalyst. There are a total of six Inferno Catalysts in the game. These are the Nohuta Effigy, the Charm of Fortune’s Sight, the Hungering Knot, the Lost Berescu’s Catalyst, the Putrid Child Catalyst, and the Sunken Beseecher.

How to Get

Once the player has updated the game to version 1.1.348, the player can get the Pallid Bile spell as a drop for defeating the Womb of Despair enemy. The Womb of Despair enemy is a common enemy. However, the player will only be able to find them while in the Umbral Realm.

The player can find the Womb of Despair in the following locations: in the Upper Calrath area, in the Fitzroy’s Gorge area, in the Manse of the Hallowed Brothers area, in the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters area, in the Forsaken Fen area, in the Bramis Castle area, in the Lower Calrath area, in the Skyrest Bridge area, in the Tower of Penance area, in The Empyrean area, in the Fief of the Chill Curse area, in the Pilgrim’s Perch area, in the Sunless Skein area, and the Revelation Depths area.

It might be necessary for the player to eliminate a lot of Womb of Despair enemies to get the Pallid Bile spell dropped since this spell can only be obtained through chance. The Pallid Bile spell, however, is not regarded as a rare drop, so the player might also be able to obtain it immediately.

As mentioned, the player can find the Womb of Despair enemy in many locations. The following is a recommended method to find Womb of Despair enemies and get the Pallid Bile spell:

  1. First, the player must begin at the Vestige of Rosamund in the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters area. The player must move toward the open arch ahead of the vestige. After passing through, the player has to climb a flight of stairs that leads up and to the left.
  2. After that, the player must turn right at the top to go up one more flight of stairs. Here, the player will encounter a few enemies. After climbing these stairs to the top, the player must ascend a few more flights of stairs on the left.
  3. Then, the player needs to go to the right at the top of the stairs, where there is another short flight. Go up this set of stairs, and the player will encounter an enemy. The player then has to go up another flight of stairs on the right, following the balcony’s path on the left. The player will ascend via an archway that leads into a structure.
  4. The player must follow this route and climb a second short flight of stairs. The player will encounter another enemy on this route. The player will find an arch on the left before the open gate at the end of the path. Once through this doorway, the player must descend another flight of stairs. Halfway down the stairs, the player will come across an Umbral Flowerbed where they can sow a seed. The player might need to use the Umbral Lamp to locate the Umbral Flowerbed. With this, the player can rest in this Umbral Flowerbed instead of returning to the Vestige if the Womb of Despair enemy doesn’t drop the Pallid Bile spell.
  5. Next, once the player has planted a seed, the player can now cross the Umbral Realm. Once that is done, the player must continue heading down the flight of stairs and another set of stairs on the right.
  6. After that, the player heads into a big courtyard. The player needs to go near the tree in the courtyard’s center. Here, the player will find a Womb of Despair enemy. The player can eliminate this enemy and see if it will drop the Pallid Bile spell.

Septic Heave

The details of the Septic Heave spell.
Courtesy of Ninja Pups

The Septic Heave spell is another new Umbral spell from “The Way of the Bucket” update. With this spell, the player can release projectiles that can deal Physical damage and inflict poison buildup on enemies. Using the Septic Heave spell costs the player 15 points of Mana.

To use the Pallid Bile spell, the player must have an Inferno stat of at least 8 points and a Radiance stat of at least 8. The player also needs to possess an Umbral Catalyst. Inferno Catalysts come in six different varieties in this game. These are the Sunken Beseecher, the Putrid Child Catalyst, the Lost Berescu’s Catalyst, the Nohuta Effigy, the Charm of Fortune’s Sight, and the Hungry Knot.

How to Get

Once the player has updated the game to at least version 1.1.348, the player will be able to get the Septic Heave spell as a drop for eliminating the Shuja Strider enemy. The player can find the Shuja Strider in the Forsaken Fen area.

Because the Septic Heave spell can only be obtained through chance, the player may need to defeat many Shuja Strider enemies to obtain the spell drop. On the other hand, the Septic Heave spell is not considered a rare drop, so the player may also be able to obtain it immediately.

The player must do the following to find a Shuja Strider enemy and get the Septic Heave spell:

  1. First, the player must start from the Vestige of Valade in the Forsaken Fen area. From here, the player must follow the wooden path before the vestige. This leads the player up a ramp.
  2. Following that, the player will have to cross a narrow bridge made of wooden planks while following this path. The player will also face an enemy here. After crossing the narrow wooden bridge, the player must continue on the wooden path.
  3. After that, once getting to the end of the wooden floor, the player will find a Shuja Strider enemy. The player can now try to defeat this enemy and see if it will drop the Septic Heave spell.
  4. Next, if Shuja Strider didn’t drop the Septic Heave, the player can continue down the ramp path. From here, the player must head towards the next path on the left. While on this path, the player must pass through a shallow pond and then go towards the next path on the left. Here, the player will encounter a couple more enemies.

  5. Then, the player will pass through a wooden arch with lit torches on both sides. Continue on this wooden path and pass under a large tree trunk. After passing through, the player will find a large bonfire under the tree trunk. Near this bonfire, the player will find another Shuja Strider enemy. The player can eliminate this enemy to see if it will drop the Septic Heave spell.

Spell Pack #2

The Lords of the Fallen update titled “Offering of Orius” comes with the second spell pack. On the 15th of December, 2023, the update identified as version 1.1.394 was made available. Six new spells for Lords of the Fallen are included in this update’s spell pack: the Lambent Feint, the Smiting Shield, the Incinerating Blast, the Seared Soul, the Hibernal Cleave, and the Puncturing Hail. Let us get to know each of these spells and learn how to get them:

Lambent Feint

The Lambent Feint spell is one of the two new Radiant spells in the “Offering of Orius” update for Lords of the Fallen. With this spell, the player can execute a rapid backward step and then shoot an arrow of Radiant magic. If this spell hits, the spell will deal Holy damage and smite buildup to enemies. Casting the Lambent Feint spell costs the player 25 points of Mana.

The player must have a Radiance stat of at least 22 points to use the Lambent Feint spell. The player also needs to use a Radiance Catalyst. In the game, there are six Radiant Catalysts in total. These include the Exacter Scripture, the Abbess Chalice, the Wilmarc’s Catalyst, the Agony’s Light, the Orian Preacher Catalyst, and the Radiant Purifier Catalyst.

How to Get

Once the player has updated the game to at least version 1.1.394, the player will be able to get the Septic Heave spell as a drop for eliminating the Sin-Piercer enemy. The player can find the Sin-Piercer enemy in the following areas: in the Manse of the Hallowed Brothers area, in the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters area, in the Upper Calrath area, in the Path of Devotion area, in the Forsaken Fen area, in the Tower of Penance area, in the Fief of the Chill Curse area, and the Pilgrim’s Perch area.

The player might have to take out a lot of Sin-Piercer enemies to get the spell drop for the Lambent Feint spell because it can only be obtained via chance. However, the Lambent Feint spell isn’t regarded as a rare drop. Because of that, the player might also be able to get the spell right away.

The player must do the following to easily find a Sin-Piercer enemy and get the Lambent Feint spell:

  1. The player must begin at the Vestige of Rosamund in the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters area. Starting here, the player must head towards the open arch just ahead of the vestige. Here, the player must go up a set of stairs that leads up and to the left.
  2. Following that, at the top, the player must go to the right to go up another flight of stairs. At the top of these stairs, the player will find a Sin-Piercer enemy. The player can now try to defeat this enemy and see if it will drop the Lambent Feint spell.
  3. Next, if that Sin-Piercer enemy did not drop the Lambent Feint spell, the player can continue up another narrow flight of stairs on the left. At the top, the player will face a couple of enemies. The player must then go to the right, where another small, narrow flight of stairs is nearby. Climb this set of stairs where the player will face a Sin-Piercer enemy. Eliminate this enemy to see if it will drop the Lambent Feint spell.
  4. After that, if that doesn’t drop the spell, the player can go up another set of stairs on the right. Follow the path on the balcony and head up another flight of stairs that leads inside a structure. The player must continue on this path up another small set of stairs. The player will find an enemy and pass through an open gate.
  5. Then, once through, the player must go up another flight of stairs. At the top, the player has to head up another set of stairs on the left. Once at the top, the player must head forward to find a Sin-Piercer enemy near the ledge. The player can then try to kill this enemy to see if it will drop the Lambent Feint spell.

Smiting Shield

The details of the Smiting Shield spell.
Courtesy of Ninja Pups

The Smiting Shield spell is the next of the two new Radiant spells in the “Offering of Orius” update for Lords of the Fallen. The player can cast this spell to throw a shield of Radiant magic. If the spell hits, the Smiting Shield spell deals Holy damage to enemies. The Smiting Shield spell costs 60 points of Mana when the player casts it.

The player must have at least 30 points in their Radiance stat to use the Smiting Shield spell. In addition, the player must utilize a Radiance Catalyst. There are a total of six Radiant Catalysts in the game. These include Agony’s Light, Wilmarc’s Catalyst, the Exacter Scripture, the Abbess Chalice, the Orian Preacher Catalyst, and the Radiant Purifier Catalyst.

How to Get

The Smiting Shield spell may drop after defeating the Pureblade enemy after the player has updated the game to at least version 1.1.394. The player may be able to locate the Pureblade enemy in the following areas: in the Manse of the Hallowed Brothers area, in the Abbey of the Hallowed Sisters area, in the Path of Devotion area, and the Belled Rise area of the Pilgrim’s Perch area.

Because the Smiting Shield spell can only be acquired through chance, the player may need to defeat many Pureblade enemies to obtain the spell drop. The player may also be able to obtain the Smiting Shield spell immediately, though, as it isn’t thought of as a rare drop.

To obtain the Smiting Shield spell and locate a Pureblade enemy with ease, the player must execute the following:

  1. First, the player must start at the Vestige of the Ferrers the Charred. This is located in the Manse of the Hallowed Brothers area. From the Vestige, the player must head for the path on the left of the Vestige. At the end of the path, the player must drop down the ledge. Here, the player must continue on the next path on the right.
  2. Next, while on this path, the player will head up a wooden path and enter an open gate to a dark path. The player has to go through the dark corridor and exit through the arch on the other end.
  3. Following that, the player must continue forward to an open area once through and up the stairs at the end of the corridor. Here, the player will find a Purablade enemy. Eliminate this enemy to see if it will drop the Smiting Shield spell.
  4. Then, if this Pureblade enemy did not drop the spell, the player could head up the wooden stairs on the left. Follow the wooden path to the left and go up the stairs. At the top, the player has to continue forward and head up the wide flight of stairs that leads up and to the left.
  5. After that, once at the top, the player must follow the path on the left. Here, the player will find another Pureblade enemy. Defeat this enemy to see if it will drop the Smiting Shield spell.
  6. Afterward, if this enemy still does not drop the Smiting Shield spell, the player can head up the wide set of stairs on the right and go through the arch to enter a structure. Inside, continue forward and pass through the arch ahead. The player must continue on the path. The player will encounter a couple of enemies at the end of this path. Here, the player must use the Umbral Lamp and shine it on the blocked arch on the left. After doing so, the player will find a path. Pass through the arch and follow the path on the right.
  7. Next, while on this path, the player will head up a flight of stairs. The player must take the next path on the right, with another set of stairs. Here, the player will encounter another enemy. From here, the player must continue forward and down another set of stairs. At the bottom, follow the path on the right, where the player will face another enemy. The player must continue on this path and head up the stairs on the left at the end of the path. Near the bottom of the stairs, the player will encounter another enemy.
  8. Following that, the player will find an Umbral Flowerbed at the top of the winding flight of stairs. The player may have to use the Umbral Lamp to find the Umbral Flowerbed. Here, the player can plant a seed to rest instead of returning to the Vestige of Ferrers the Charred. Once that is done, the player can head back to the Pureblade enemies to try to eliminate them again and see if they will drop the Smiting Shield spell.

Incinerating Blast

The details of the Incinerating Blast spell.
Courtesy of Ninja Pups

The Incinerating Blast spell is one of the two new Inferno spells included in the Lords of the Fallen “Offering of Orius” update. With this spell, the player can charge up and release a spherical projectile engulfed in flames. If the spell hits, the Incinerating Blast spell deals fire damage and inflicts ignite buildup to enemies. Casting the Incinerating Blast spell costs the player 66 points of Mana.

Using the Incinerating Blast spell requires the player to have at least 30 points in their Inferno stat. The player also needs to use an Inferno Catalyst. The game contains six Inferno Catalysts in total. These are the Lord Catalyst, the Rhogar Heart, the Searing Accusation, the Pyric Cultist Catalyst, Miranda’s Touch, and Queen Sophesia’s Catalyst.

How to Get

The Incinerating Blast spell may drop after defeating the Ruiner enemy after the player has updated the game to at least version 1.1.394. The player may be able to locate the Ruiner enemy in the following areas: in the Fitzroy’s Gorge area, in the Lower Calrath area, in the Upper Calrath area, and the Bramis Castle area. Of all these locations, the best area to look for the Ruiner enemy is the Lower Calrath area.

It is important to reiterate that the player can only randomly get the Incinerating Blast spell from the Ruiner enemy. This means the player may have to defeat a few or many enemies before getting this spell. Fortunately, the Incinerating Blast spell is not regarded as a rare drop. Because of that, there is a good possibility that the player will obtain the Incinerating Blast spell in no time.

The player must do the following to find a Ruiner enemy easily and obtain the Incinerating Blast spell:

  1. First, the player must start at the Vestige of Lydia the Numb. This Vestige is located in the Lower Calrath Alehouse area in Lower Calrath. From here, the player must follow the wooden path on the right of the Vestige. At the end of the platform, drop down to the platform below.
  2. Following that, the player has to take a few steps forward before descending a set of stairs. Once that is done, the player must go to the right to find an opening. The player must pass through the opening to drop down to an alley. From here, take the path to the right. The player must keep going in this direction, passing through an arch and across a few enemies.
  3. Then, the player needs to eliminate the roadblock directly following the arch. From here, the player must move on to the next path on the right. After descending a flight of stairs, the player will find themselves in an open space with burning objects and structures. The player must proceed straight ahead until they reach a second set of stairs on the left.
  4. After that, the player has to climb up this set of stairs. An Umbral Flowerbed awaits the player at the top. Finding the Umbral Flowerbed may require the player to use the Umbral Lamp. This is where the player can sow a seed. This allows the player to rest and try again if the Ruiner enemies fail to drop the Incinerating Blast spell.
  5. Next, once that is done, the player must head back down the stairs. The player must then return to the open area filled with burning structures. Here, the player will find a Ruiner enemy. The player can eliminate this enemy and see if it will drop the Incinerating Blast spell. Again, if this enemy does not drop the spell, the player can rest at the previous flowerbed and eliminate the Ruiner enemy to try your luck once more.

The Seared Soul spell is another new Inferno spell part of the Lords of the Fallen “Offering of Orius” update. With this spell, the player can conjure a Seared Soul enemy. This summoned Seared Soul will rush towards the enemy the player targeted and then explode. If the spell hits, the Seared Soul spell deals damage and inflicts burn buildup to enemies. The player must spend 25 Mana points to cast the Seared Soul spell.

The player must have at least 22 points in their Inferno stat to use the Seared Soul spell. Utilizing an Inferno Catalyst is also required of the player. There are a total of six Inferno Catalysts in the game. These are the Lord Catalyst, the Rhogar Heart, the Searing Accusation, the Pyric Cultist Catalyst, the Miranda’s Touch, and the Queen Sophesia’s Catalyst.

How to Get

Once the player has updated the game to at least version 1.1.394, they may be able to obtain the Seared Soul spell by eliminating the Seared Soul enemy. The player may be able to locate the Seared Soul enemy in the following areas: in the Skyrest Bridge area, in the Lower Calrath area, in the Upper Calrath area, and the Bramis Castle area. Out of all these locations, the best area to look for the Seared Soul enemy is the Upper Calrath area.

It is crucial to stress that the Seared Soul enemy can only randomly grant the player access to the Seared Soul spell. This implies they might need to eliminate a few or many of these enemies before the player can use this spell. Luckily, the Seared Soul spell is not considered a rare drop. This means there’s a good chance the player will get the Seared Soul spell quickly.

To locate a Seared Soul enemy and get the Seared Soul spell, the player needs to do the following:

  1. First, the player must start at the Vestige of Doln in the Mining District of the Upper Calrath area. From the Vestige, the player has to go to the right and pass through the open arch.
  2. Afterward, exit through the other side, and the player must head down the stairs. The player must continue on the path. Here, the player will immediately encounter a Seared Soul enemy. The player can now try eliminating this enemy and see if it will drop the Seared Soul spell.
  3. Following that, if the Seared Soul enemy did not drop the spell, the player can proceed along the pathway and take the next left path. Proceed to the left and up a short set of stairs after passing through another arch. The player must then proceed along the right-hand path from here.
  4. After that, the player will face two more Seared Soul enemies while on this path. The player can then try to defeat these enemies to see if they will drop the Seared Soul spell.
  5. Then, if these enemies still will not drop the Seared Soul spell, fortunately, the player is close to the Vestige of Doln. The player can head back to the Vestige and rest. Once that is done, the player can try to kill the mentioned Seared Soul enemies again to see if they will drop the spell.

The Hibernal Cleave spell is one of the two new Umbral spells included in the Lords of the Fallen “Offering of Orius” update. With this spell, the player can summon an Umbral axe and swing it to cause a line of ice to rise from the ground. If the spell hits, this line of ice can deal damage and inflict frostbite buildup on enemies. The player must use 66 Mana points to cast the Hibernating Cleave spell.

The player must have at least 22 points in their Radiance stat and at least 22 points in their Inferno stat to use the Hibernating Cleave spell. For this spell, the player must also have an Umbral Catalyst. There are a total of six Umbral Catalysts in the game. These are the Nohuta Effigy, the Charm of Fortune’s Sight, the Hungering Knot, the Lost Berescu’s Catalyst, the Putrid Child Catalyst, and the Sunken Beseecher.

How to Get

After the game has been updated to at least 1.1.394, the player can try to defeat the Kinrangr Guardian enemy to get the Hibernating Cleave spell as a drop. The player may be able to find the Kinrangr Guardian enemy in the Fief of the Chill Curse area.

It is important to emphasize that the player can only randomly access the Hibernating Cleave spell through a Kinrangr Guardian enemy. This suggests the player may have to remove a few or many of these enemies before obtaining and using this spell. Fortunately, the Hibernating Cleave spell is not considered a rare drop. This indicates that the player will likely receive the Hibernating Cleave spell sooner.

To find a Kinrangr Guardian enemy and obtain the Hibernating Cleave spell, the player must execute the following:

  1. First, the player must begin at the Vestige of Svornil in the Fief of the Chill Curse area. From the Vestige, the player must head for the path in front of the Vestige and go towards the open arch just ahead.
  2. After that, the player must continue on the concrete and snowy path once through. While on this path, the player will face a couple of enemies. One of these enemies is the Kinrangr Guardian enemy. The player can try to defeat this enemy and see if it will drop the Hibernating Cleave spell.
  3. Then, if the enemy does not drop the spell, the player can continue on the path. Eventually, the player will find a wooden ladder covered in snow on the right that leads up some scaffolding. Climb up the wooden ladder. On top, follow the wooden path on the right, then on the left, head up a flight of stairs.
  4. Next, on top of the stairs, the player will encounter a couple of enemies. From here, the player must follow the path on the left. While on this path, the player will find an Umbral Flowerbed near the edge of a wooden platform. The player can plant a seed here to rest. The player can try again if the Kinrangr Guardian enemy does not drop the Hibernating Cleave spell.
  5. Following that, from the Umbral Flowerbed, the player has to head back on the path where the player encountered enemies. From here, the player must continue on the path just ahead through a cave.
  6. Afterward, inside the cave, the player will face another Kinrangr Guardian enemy. The player can try to defeat this enemy to see if it will drop the Hibernating Cleave. If not, the player can rest on the previous Umbral Flowerbed and rest. After that, the player can try eliminating the mentioned enemies again to see if they will drop the spell. The player can keep repeating this until they get the Hibernating Cleave spell.

The other new Umbral spells included in the Lords of the Fallen “Offering of Orius” update is the Puncturing Hail spell. With this spell, the player can shoot out three pieces of ice projectiles. If the spell hits, these ice projectiles can deal damage to enemies. The Puncturing Hail spell costs 35 points of Mana when the player casts it.

To cast the Puncturing Hail spell, the player needs to have a minimum of 18 points in both their Radiance and Inferno stats. The player also needs an Umbral Catalyst to use this spell. In the game, there are six Umbral Catalysts altogether. These include the Sunken Beseecher, the Putrid Child Catalyst, the Lost Berescu’s Catalyst, the Nohuta Effigy, the Charm of Fortune’s Sight, and the Hungering Knot.

How to Get

The player can attempt to defeat the Griefbound enemy to obtain the Puncturing Hail spell as a drop. This is once the game has been updated to at least version 1.1.394. In the Fief of the Chill Curse region, the player could have the opportunity to locate the Griefbound enemy.

It should be emphasized that the player can only randomly obtain the Puncturing Hail spell by defeating a Griefbound enemy. This implies that to get hold of and employ this spell; the player might need to eliminate just a few or a great deal of these enemies. Thankfully, the spell Puncturing Hail isn’t regarded as a rare drop. This suggests there’s a good chance the player will get the Puncturing Hail spell sooner rather than later.

To locate a Griefbound enemy and get the Puncturing Hail spell, the player must perform the following actions:

  1. To begin, the player must go to the Vestige of Svornil in the Fief of the Chill Curse area. The player must proceed from the Vestige to the path before it. Here, the player must pass through the open arch ahead.
  2. After the open gate, the player has to keep going on the concrete and snowy path. The player will encounter a few enemies along the way. The Griefbound enemy is one of these enemies. The player can attempt to defeat this foe and see if it drops the Puncturing Hail spell.
  3. Next, if this Griefbound enemy does not drop the spell, the player can return to the Vestige to rest. Once done, the player can return to the Griefbound enemy. Eliminate it again to see if it will drop the Puncturing Hail spell. The player can keep repeating this method until this enemy the player obtains the spell!
