How to Use Dip – Baldur’s Gate 3

There are certain actions particular prepared spells, which can enhance your abilities in many different ways. Like this, the Dip action is the same, it enhances the weapon so you can deal bonus damage.

But it can be confusing to use, so that’s why we will tell you how to use Dip in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Baldur’s Gate 3 – How to Use Dip

When you use dip, your weapon lights up on fire. It harnesses the fire elemental power and channels it into the weapon for a few attacks.

The oomph present with the Dip action is far greater than the one without. Bows are one of the best weapons to use this action on. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t do it on other weapons too!

Let’s see exactly how to use Dip in Baldur’s Gate 3 and how this mechanic works:

  1. First, make sure that you have a candle.
  2. Put down the candle, and light it up.
  3. Then, click on the Dip action.
  4. Now click on the candle. This will allow the fire to enter your weapon. click candle fire baldurs gate 3
  5. Attack!

That’s how easy it is. Players were confused because most didn’t know that you had to have a candle laying around to use this action properly.

Technically, you can use any fire to light up your weapons. However, a candle is the easiest way. As I said, bows work best since the arrow will explode upon impact.

Close-range weapons are not that bad, but there are other actions which are better. With that being said, I recommend that you use this skill with bows mostly. Good luck!
